Aark Collective: Unique Watches from Australia
It's a rare occurrence to come across a watch with a unique graphic vocabulary. We're use to seeing familiar elements, such as certain fonts and hand shapes that root a watch in either history or current trends. When something totally different comes along it's often jarring, though if it succeeds it can be very interesting and exciting. The new line of watches by Aark Collective, a young Australian brand, is a great example of a different take on the classic watch. Whether their bold and quirky look is appealing is really up to you, but either way, you haven't seen watches quite like these before.images from aarkcollectiveimage from aarkcollectiveBut before I even get to the watches, it's worth looking at the brand itself. Aark Collective takes a different approach from the get-go with a webpage full of striking imagery and abstract graphic art. Everything exudes a modern aesthetic that only a small handful of watch brands employ, namely Uniform Wares and Nixon. But while the other two

Well it's plain to see AP is doing extremely well by the way their salesmen act. Extremely confident and couldn't care less about your interest or business because they really don't have anything to sell and as soon as they do it never makes it to the display case. Patek seems to be the same way. Very sad over all. Neither of these brands are anymore special then other top brands like VC, JLC or Breguet who also have boutiques there but they have stock and their people treat you well. So here is some advice for companies like JLC, VC, Breguet, Breitling and Omega. We all know your movements and quality are just as good as the others but if you want to be popular as AP, Patek and Rolex then get some of you line iced out and then get some rap stars wearing them. Demand will then skyrocket and pressure might be taken off the others. It would be nice to see the AP salesman have to earn his living by selling rather then order taking.
Strap Size On Newest 42mm Offshore Chrono
I've searched around and I'm not finding the actual strap measurements on the newest Offshores. I guess, that the case width is 29mm like the older Offshore model. Is the tang buckle end, 24mm just like the Diver? In the images on the AP site the buckle end appears to be smaller than 24mm. This could be an optical delusion on my part. I'm not concerned with the lengths, just the widths.
Spring bars for seamaster and speedmaster
Anyone know where I can find spring bars to strapband and original braclet for Omega Seamaster and Speedmaster, need to know where to get a couple and what dimension...thanks
This or that again - two very different options
Keep going to-and- fro between the Calatrava and Nautilus. Might end up getting both at some point but I don't have the need for two right now. A) 5196P Or B) 5711 This is my current collection - I already have the bases covered, I want to add a Patek. Adding the 5196P will tick the precious metal box while adding a Patek into the collection. The Nautilus is the more rugged and versatile of the two I guess. Appreciate your input. Thanks Photos are not mine .Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
