HYT H2 Tradition: Futuristic Meets Retro
The “hydromechanical horologists” of indie watch brand HYT were among the first-time exhibitors at this year’s SIHH in Geneva. After making a splash at recent Baselworlds with pioneering timepieces like the H1, H2, and H3, the brand headed by watch-industry veteran Vincent Perriard wowed the SIHH crowd with the new H2 Tradition the first HYT to meld cutting-edge technology with horological classicism. The HYT H2 Tradition is the first HYT watch with such classical refinements as guilloch finishes, delicately lacquered dials, black Roman numerals for the hours, and blued Breguet-style hands, but it retains the now-familiar HYT hydro-mechanical aesthetic thanks to the capillary around the dial’s periphery, filled with blue fluid that moves forward with the passing of the hours. The liquid is driven by two bellows positioned on either side of the 6 o’clock marker, a system developed for the original H2 watch in 2013. With the fluid in the capillary displayi

Nautilus Strap Conversion Kit
The question has been asked many a time and oft and the answer is always negative, but I'm just sitting here looking at my 5711 and I just can't understand why some budding entrepreneur hasn't created a conversion kit for bracelet-to-strap conversions for the Nautilus. The bracelet, including the end-link is attached by pins to the case. Surely all it would take is the fashioning of an aftermarket end link to fill that gap and with another hole through it to allow a strap to be secured to it, in the same way people make after-market plot links for AP's. I'm not suggesting for a second its something I could do, but there are so many people out there that could, I'm surprised someone hasn't given it a bash. They've managed for Audemars, Rolex, etc. it's not like the Nautilus hasn't been around a while...It's not like your typical Patek owner is strapped for cash so I'd think the producer of a decent kit could charge like the proverbial rhino.Just a thought...
A Question For You
I have a friend that is selling his PAM243 and wants to know if I'm interested. What would be a fair price for me to offer him and how do I find out what series it is? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
