Gc Sport Class XL Watch
Does anything about this watch look familiar? It should if you follow Zenith watches at all. This is Gc's rendition of the Zenith Defy X-treme watches. Frankly, I think the Gc does it a bit better, especially on the price side. I am sorry, the Zenith Defy X-treme watches are cool, but so NOT $20,000 grand plus cool. Those are just a long toss into depreciation alley. While the Gc Sport Class XL watch is not without its issues (starting with the name), it is a nice looking watch, and I'd be proud to sport it.Gc (Guess Collection) is the Guess company's watch brand. Though when I look at the name I always think Gucci. Guess as a company has had better days, but I hope that they continue to invest in their watch brand as they have someinteresting stuff to say the least. For example, the Swiss quartz movement has a 12 hour chronograph that has been incorporated into two subdials. The minutes subdial also has a smaller subdial inside of it for the hours. It is not the clearest to read, but
In-house movement for 26320/26331
I saw an interview on YouTube where a journalist asked the president of AP if they were doing a in-house movement for the Royal oak chronograph. He said it's already done we just need to figure out the best way to roll it out. I am wanting to buy a classic 26320st but wondering if I should hold out. I like the same size subdials in the 26320st compared to the 26331. Do you think they will stick with the odd size subdials if they go in-house and two tone dial? Do you think In house will lower the value of the 26320st or will it hold strong? Is no in house movement a deterrent for anyone else when considering the 26320? Although I do like the F piguet movement and appreciate it. Thanks for any chit chat about the issueJosh

Speedmaster Classic back from servicing-finally!
I brought my watch to my AD and it was sent to the New Jersey Service Center. It took five weeks to get a price for servicing and just one week short of four months (including the five weeks) to get the watch back. I was beginning to get concerned, although I read on one of the forums that the centers had an unusually large number of watches in for work. In any event, I've got to say that the finished product is awesome. Despite being about twenty years old, the watch came back looking brand new. Everything is working perfectly. I couldn't be happier! For those who may be interested, the watch was in excellent cosmetic condition when sent in, so no major items needed repair or replacement. In fact, I understand that this was basically a disassembly and cleaning only. The cost was $614 which I thought was reasonable, especially considering the complications that are part of this watch. Here are a few photos:
George Clooney in The American
Not a very good film but certainly a lot of shots of George wearing a Speedy on black leather.Such a cool watch! It was a toss up between that and a Sub for me and I picked the Sub. Reckon a Speedmaster will be my next watch though!!
