A. Lange & Sohne Richard Lange Tourbillon "Pour le Merite" Watch
2011 will experience the release of this new fusee and chain transmission watch from Glashutte, Germany based A. Lange & Sohne. To be honest, fusee and chain movement watches excite me a lot more than tourbillons. Not that they are mutually exclusive, but I really love the idea that there is a tiny hand-made (bicycle style) chain in a watch helping to move power from the mainspring to the movement. Plus, a fusee and chain is a lot more useful for accuracy and rate reliability than a tourbillon is.? Today there are only a few brands that offer watches with fusee and chain complications. The three that I can think of off the top of my head are A. Lange & Sohne, Breguet, and Cabestan. Who am I missing?Cabestan does the fusee and chain best because they make it visible on the dial. On This lovely Lange you'll have to peek around through the back of the watch for views of the chain. If you look at the movement image in this post you can see bits of the chain wrapped around the brass

Questions regarding Planet Ocean 8500
Good morning everyone,Pardon interrupt. First I want to say thank you for your greetings on my first post.Last Saturday I visited an AD and have tried 3 Omega models, Aqua Terra, Semaster 300m and Planet Ocean 8500 42mm. The Planet caught my attention. If you won't mind, I would like to ask some questions regarding the Planet Ocean. Due to it's case thickness, do you find it an issue wearing it every day? Do you have any advice regarding the Planet Ocean?Thank you so much for all your help.My best,Alex

Extremely Rare Dial Patek Philippe 5167 Aquanaut
Just today the owner of a Patek 5167 discovered he just happened to own the rarest 5167 dial known to exist. The issue came to light when discussing dial differences on a forum called TRF just this morning. Where all other Patek 5167's have Swiss Made at the bottom of the 6 marker, this one does not have the label at all. This revelation was called stunning by some and some News agencies and some Patek owners where said to have been so excited some just lost all kinds of bladder control.Owner is said to be extremely happy and may lose bladder control as well.Anyway we believe this watch will most likey to equal if not exceed all known records for the most expensive watch ever known to man when and if the owner ever decides to sell it at auction. This is a picture of the Patek 5167 in question.
