Casio G-Shock G-Aviation GWA1100 Watch
When it comes to watches that will stand up to just about anything you can throw at it, there's one lineup that's probably at the top of just about everyone's listCthe Casio G-Shock. The Casio G-Shock G-Aviation GWA1100 is brand new to the collection. These watches have proven themselves over time, and have an enthusiastic worldwide following. They offer a variety of styles, all with full complements of functionality; when it comes to the more vividly-colored models, we've most commonly seen these in the digital displays. With the latest addition to the Gravity Master line, however, we see an analog display paired to a day-glo orange case with a compass. With this particular Casio G-Shock GWA1100, big and bold seems to be the name of the game. Along with the bright coloration, we've got a case that's just a hair under 54mmCdefinitely not a subtle piece. Should your wrist be up for this particular mission, though, you're going to get a cornucopia of functionality. My favorite of the feat
Bremont HMS Victory Limited Edition Watch
Not too much information right now but this is the upcoming limited edition Bremont HMS Victory limited edition watch. The classic looking chronograph will be produced in honor of the historic HMS Victory ship. The HMS Victory was originally built in the 18th century and is the oldest surviving warship from that era. The limited edition watch is said to contain actual original material from the ship itself. The watch is part of a relationship between UK-based watch brand Bremont and The National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth, England. The final piece will be unveiled in July 2012 during an event aboard the ship. This is the second Bremont limited edition watch to contain parts from an historic military machine. They did this first in the Mustang P-51 timepiece covered here. There are very few tech specs on the actual watch itself, and we don't know exactly where the "original HMS Victory material" will go. It could very well be on the rotor of the automatic movement. I am guessi
Introducing The Rotonde de Cartier Earth And Moon, A Tourbillon With On-Demand Moonphase Display (Live Pics, Details, & Pricing)
Over the last few years, Cartier's Fine Watchmaking department has been consistently pushing out some of the most creative and technically impressive haute horology around. Just a few weeks ago we showed you the new Astrocalendaire and today we've got another stunner for you. The Rotonde de Cartier Earth and Moon uses its tourbillon and a moving Lapis Lazuli disc to display the phase of the moon on demand and there is a second timezone display as well. The Earth and Moon is as much a mechanical sculpture as it is a timekeeper and here we've got all the details. The Earth and Moon is not a subtle watch – far from it. The platinum case comes in at 47mm across and 16.65mm thick, with robust arching lugs. The dial is bright blue lapis lazuli with a white gold Roman numeral grid over the top that also features a map of the earth at the center. The bright blued steel sword hands match the dial nicely and below all of this is a tourbillon. The finishing on the dial and case,
