My Omega Seamaster Professional 300m Limited Edition Vancouver 2010 Olympics Watch Article On AskMen.com
Yes, I wrote about this watch before on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer. The Omega Limited Edition Olympics watch for Vancouver in 2010 is just an awesome timepiece and AskMenwatches-dealer was right to want it featured. The Canada flag colors of this watch and the cute little Olympic logo as the second hand's counter weight just make be very happy. Other than the engraved caseback, the watch is the same as the universally popular Omega Seamaster Professional 300m dive watch. Read the review on AskMenwatches-dealer here. Just Returned From Omega Boutique Beverly Center
Unfortunately, did not have my phone with me but just spent some time at the Omega Boutique in Beverly Center (Los Angeles). Had a chance to view and wear the new POs...........here's some impressions. The new ceramic bezel is a washed out gray tone...........this will be strictly a matter of personal taste whether one likes it more or less than the steel bezel. New Chrono PO has an absolutely amazing dial but is very thick.........quite a difference between the new one and the current one. Again, the bezel for me is the issue.Huge price increase. The new PO Chrono is $7,900..........the regular PO is about $6,000........Omega is flirting in big boy territory and I'm not sure how that'll sit with buyers.Anyway, next time I'll take my phone with me to take some pics
Strap Change Advice
I recently acquired a 5627A-001 and am interested in trying different straps with the watch. It comes with two strap and I am also interested in trying out one of the Rubber B straps for it. I read some postings about the difficulty in changing the straps because there is a screw that needs to be removed that retains the pin-bar at both both lugs and also one for the deployant clasp.Does anyone happen to know the correct size or flat head screw driver that fits these retaining screw heads?Would it be wiser to just take it to an AD and have them swap out the strap for me? It would seem that if I have the correct tool, it should be simple enough. Clearly, I would prefer to not mark up my watch trying out different straps, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Which one? JLC is limited to 200 pieces. (Price is not a consideration)
5227 dial change?
I noticed in the 2016 Patek catalogue, the dial of the 5227j and r is listed as lacquered ivory, and the pic of the 5227r shows a very white looking dial. However, all of the 5227j/r's I've seen have a dial that looks quite off-white, even yellowish. Does anybody know if the dial color has changed from before 2016 (more off white) to after (more white)?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
