Ulysse Nardin Launches Marine Chronograph Manufacture With In-House Movement
Ulysse Nardin’s journey toward more in-house movement production, a stated goal of UN CEO Patrik Hoffman, continued apace at this year’s Baselworld, when the brand released the new Marine Chronograph Manufacture, its first chronograph watch with an in-house movement. The watch’s story begins last year, when Ulysse Nardin purchased the rights to Ebel’s Caliber 137, the chronograph movement that has now been renamed Ulysse Nardin Caliber 150 and manufactured exclusively by UN at its workshop in Le Locle, Switzerland. The Marine Chronograph Manufacture follows up last year’s major introduction of the Marine Chronometer Manufacture, which contained the brand’s very first in-house movement, COSC-certified chronometer Caliber Un-118.Ulysse Nardin has outfitted the original Ebel movement with its own silicon escapement, which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph; even the balance spring, made of silicon, is made in-house. Suggestion /Opinion for 6 inch wrist
Hello , I have narrowed my choices to -- --patek 5205 ( 40 mm ), patek 5140 ( 37 mm ), 5146 ( 39 mm ), and 5396 ( 38 mm ).I have only tried 5146 as the rest are unavailable. Not taking into consideration the price and look of each model, which one will look good/ fit well for my 6 inch wrist size, where the watch wont look too big/ awkward/ funny ? any guys with small wrist with any of above models can chime in. I currently have a 5116 calatrava - 36 mm and fit is good . Thanks
I have a very important Pepsi vs. Coke GMT question.
Hi guys, I hope you can clarify this for me as it's really making me lose sleep....When I think Pepsi:The Blue/Red, BLRO, etc. pattern becomes pretty obvious to me.But instead when I think Coke:Where is the Black/Red color combo ?!? More like Red/White methinks...Where is the moniker coming from then ? (Because the Coke Zero is much more recent than the Fat Lady....)Please help me recover my normal sleep and clarify this to me.Thanks !(This post can also be called Slow Day at the Office....)
