Ikepod Hourglass: Time For Art
I find it really ironic that an hourglass is a novel concept in the watch industry. When Marc Newson designed Ikepod released the Hourglass last year, I remember thinking "Wait. Is this the only high-end hourglass that you can get?" Yea, I think it is. It is as if the classic timing tool was a forgotten piece of history.Well, you might not have a lot of options in your quality hourglass buying needs, but the good news is that the Ikepod ones are pretty darn nice. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, but you can actually time with them as well. According to Ikepod, the time ratings for both the large and small ones are quite accurate. You can now live your dream of looking your nemesis in the eye and stating, "You have until this hourglass runs out to bring me my money, or your family will die a slow and painful death While the hourglass runs out yet again."Last year, they released the larger of the two hourglasses while Ikepod has offered the smaller version this year. The large o
15202
I'd paid my deposit. I was really excited. I was number one on the list to receive one with adThen out of the blue the ad left a message saying to call re my apI was pretty chuffed. Called back immediately, just to get told ap have pulled the supply of 15202. Boutique only from now on! Ad can't supply and wanted to refund depositsFew months later, got a call from ap direct. They'd heard I wanted to buy one, realise there is no boutique in UK and have said I can buy from their London office instead ?19300. When I originally placed my deposit they were ?16600. Obviously price raised and probably got the boutique price hike as wellGot to say. I'm not impressed. Even though its waiting for me to pick it up... I'm thinking twice nowWhat would you think?
Volcano arrived!
I am a big fan of Rolex and Panerai but my collection seemed boring to me and I kept looking to add something different and with orange being my favorite color Volcano was my choice. It arrived yesterday and I can't take it off my wrist, love it. Next watch would be AP again for sure. I think it fits perfect with my other boring watches...
quest about screwed chrono pushers.
Hi guysI wanted to ask the following questions about the screwed-in chrono pushers of the Omega Seamaster series (the Bond ones and the PO) :1). Does one have to un-screw to use the pushers?2). If one doesn't have to unscrew the chrono pushers, does that mean that the chrono functions are active at the rated depths i.e. 300m for the seamasters and 600m for the PO?3). Is the operating mechanism and procedure the same for the PO and the seamaster? ( i.e. unscrewing the oushers before using the rated depth of use etc)thanks a lotregards,Asad Abbas Awan
Need Help - Which to keep 116500 or 5167?
I am in the process of decluttering my life and personal items. Therefore, I only need / want ONE watch going forward and trying to decide if I want to keep my 116500 c black Daytona or sell for a new PP 5167. I've had a 5167 in the past, but sold it once it stopped working 18 months later for no apparent reason. I like the fact it was so light and comfortable on the wrist and very legible. Conversely, the Rolex Daytona and bracelet are probably the most comfortable in the sport lineup while the black dial enhances the legibility. The Daytona is somewhat heavier, but not to the point of being uncomfortable at all. I am not interested in any other models or PM alternatives. Your help is appreciated.
