The end of Baselworld is like coming down off a really brutal high. The intense energy of the show is only matched by how busy you are. Nights are filled with long European style dinners that take forever, but go by quickly as the conversation is engaging. Watch lovers can be themselves - this is our week. And even though the show is that long, you can only manage to see a fraction of the exhibiting brands. New things come at you around each corner, and items you've only seen as computer renderings come to life. The best part is by far the people; the gossip, the laughs, and thankfully this year �� the optimism. More orders than last year seems to be a sober but enthusiastic claim made across the board. Few brands leave without smiles on their faces, while the major brands are all celebrating due to increased sales in key markets. I'm about to turn 43 so convinced myself and my wife that I couldnt live without this piece of AP.FYI my wife have had the opportunity to see her husband celebration his own birthday with a new watch around 3-4 times every year for the last couples of years:-)That Said ... When the Diver got released I tried it on and found it very very nice and clean.Still a lot of money for me at that time and there was a waiting list as well.Two weeks ago my usual dealer had one on its way. 5 month old gray market Pam 90 not keeping time
I bought a brand new Pam 90 BNIB from a trusted brick and mortar jeweler on August 31st of 2016. I recently downloaded an App called toolwatch and checked the timing of my 2002 Y serial (probably never serviced) Two tone Bluesy Submariner, New Breitling Super Avenger 2 and my Pam 90. The other two are within COSC specs but the Panerai seems to be off by 50 seconds or so. Now Im wondering if Im not measuring properly because of the small seconds hand in the 9 o clock area of the watch (tried a few times and never within COSC specs). I have the unfilled warranty card and everything that came with the watch including the 3 boxes etc. Can I take it to the local Panerai Boutique and have them check to see if its running within specs?n
