Cuervo y Sobrinos Opens First Flagship Store in Havana
Cuervo y Sobrinos, the Swiss watch brand with its origins in Havana, is opening a boutique/museum in the central historic district of Havana. CYS will be the first international watch brand to inaugurate its own store on the island of Cuba. El Reloj Cuervo y Sobrinos is located in a historic 19th century building opposite the brand’s original headquarters. Inside, one can enjoy a boutique and a museum with antique watches, writing instruments and memorabilia. An elegant bar and coffee bistro provides a gathering spot that will take visitors back to the Havana of the 1940s. In this refined Art Deco ambiance, the original vault from the old store on San Rafael is displayed. I am about to pull the trigger for a third watch. I currently have an AP 15400 Blue dial and Ebel 139 Tekton. (You are probably questioning why would he even have an Ebel in the collection? Because I received as a gift).I narrowed down my choices to Rolex Daytona white face, Rolex Submariner LV, Pre-owned AP Diver, or IWC Ingenieur. I will appreciate your inputs!

I have a deep love for Daytonas and one of my all time favorite Daytona is the white dial Panda Daytona with Rolex's 4030 movement. Unfortunately finding this model in a mint condition is close to impossible. So I decided to go a different route.I bought an excellent condition Rolex 16523 with box and paper, spent decent chunk of change and bought brand new Rolex 16520 conversion parts. Here is the end result. All parts were bought brand spanking new***Decided to throw in something extra Now the beautiful 4030 movement can be seen in its full glory.Thought Id share the results with you all.
