Service question for my Speedy
I have been doing a lot of internet research and I can't nail down an answer to my question. Where should I send my Speedy for an overhaul? Right now I am between Nesbits and the service center. I have read a few questionable reviews about the service center, but I live close to one. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Patek exhibition London
Firstly if anyone gets the chance to visit this event at the Saatchi gallery London go for it. I've just returned from spending a Couple of days in the capital and visited the exhibition on Saturday and Sunday. Amazing exhibition and top marks to Patek. So here's just a snippet of my weekend 🍻 The original Patek aviator watch Some beautiful enamel dials 😍Artist at work Hand engraving I had the pleasure of also chatting with one of the watchmakers based at the UK service centre who kindly let me handle his watch that he had made himself from scratch as part of his coursework if you should happen to pick up the grand master chime this is the box you will receive to compliment it . Sorry if the pics are a little jumbled guys but I've got that many and not much time to post so these a just a few Radom shots. Again if you get the chance to visit the exhibition go for it 🍻
Five years since I bought a watch... Explorer 1 vs Milgauss
Okay. It's been five years since I bought a watch. For me this is a big deal.I'm toying and torn between an Explorer 1 and a blue Milgauss. On the one hand we have understatement on the other we have blue, green and orange. I like both. It'll be a daily wearer, it'll get a bit wet and I won't fret if there's a scratch or two ... stuff happens.Views and reviews from long-term owners of either welcome. Let the enablement begin.PS: other watches of note in the box are a Mark XV pilot from IWC and a PAM372, although this latter may be the sacrifice to sanity and economics.
sd43 extra link 126600 part number and interchangability?
I need a extra link. is the sd43 126600 50th anniversary link a carryover part with any other Rolex models? thanks.
Land, land, sea and air (and a dilemma)
My AD has been good to me this last 18 months or so. And, for the first time ever, I'm happy with my little collection and don't want for anything. I tried on the new SD43 recently and I'll probably add that at some point (but I'm not falling over myself to get it), as well as some kind of Submariner (no collection is complete without a Sub, right?)But as we head into Christmas and I have to think about buying things for other people for a change (shock, horror), I'll have to tighten the purse strings and resist any further temptation this 2017...The only slight issue I have now, is that I regularly can't decide which watch to wear, as I really enjoy them all! Still, not a bad problem to have, I suppose :)
