Seiko Prospex SRP777 / 775 Review
Late last year, we ran an article about Seiko's expected reissue of the 6309-7040a beloved dive watch the brand produced throughout the 70s and 80s. That article garnered a lot of interest from our readers and online watchdom in general, and for good reason. The 6309 is undeniably a great watchone of my personal favorites from Seiko's historical catalogueand amongst Seiko diehards it remains a must-have. As far as vintage divers are concerned, they're also relatively affordable and offer great bang-for-your-buck value. The 6309 was manufactured by Seiko for approximately 12 yearsfrom 1976 to 1988so one could argue that they're not rare watches. And for a long time, that was certainly true. Finding a well-priced original 6309 was no challenge, but in recent years that has become less of a reality. There are a lot of Franken-6309s floating around on Ebay and on forums with aftermarket partssome of them good, and some not so goodand NOS replacement parts like handsets and bezel inse

We've reported on hundreds, if not thousands, of watches over the past year – from the new releases at SIHH and Baselworld to rare vintage finds and expansive personal collections – but now it's time to find out what we, your HODINKEE writers, editors, and contributors, wore the most in 2015. Now in its third iteration (see 2013 here and 2014 here), this annual feature has quickly become a fan favorite – and as the HODINKEE team has grown significantly this year, it only gets bigger and better this time around. So, with 2016 just around the corner, we give you "The Watch I Wore Most In 2015, By Every Single Member Of The HODINKEE Team." Enjoy. Jack Forster C Grand Seiko GMT 1 OF 12 It’s a little difficult for me to say which watch I absolutely wore the most this year but out of all of them, I’d have to say that the likeliest candidate is probably from Seiko. The Grand Seiko GMT had a lot of competition for wrist

AC Advice for Travel
Hi Everyone; Seeking your collective wisdom... I live in Tokyo and travel to the US frequently on business. Just acquired a 5146 and wondered if any of you would share any tips on managing an AC on long trips going East. Do you just advance the time forward to the destination on the hands and then use the pusher for date to get everything all synched up? Does advancing the date mess with the moon phase or other indications? Lastly, I also assume that traveling back to Tokyo from the US i can just advance the hands forward to the time there... correct? Thanks in advance for your suggestions. Hope eveyone has had a fantasitc Christmas.
