Paul Picot Announces Online Photo Contest
Famed photographer Helmut Newton first worked with Paul Picot in the early 90s. To celebrate Newton’s legacy, Paul Picot is sponsoring an online photo contest. The brand is issuing a call to art aficionados to celebrate Newton’s work by interpreting one of his famous pieces with a fresh and innovative approach. Read on for full details…Paul Picot has selected an original Helmut Newton image, and entrants are to reinterpret the image in their own way. The scope is broad and open to the imagination. The contest is open to everyone. To view the original Helmut Newton image, and to learn more about the contest, visit paulpicot.ch. In the menu in the upper left, click “Newton Photo Contest”. Patek Saturday
Was hanging around the house today with some time to kill, and realized I had six of my PP out of the safe deposit box at the same time (and realized I better get some back to the bank Monday morning).... so I thought why not a group pic?025 by , on Flickr027 by , on Flickr028 by , on Flickr
5146 caseback height
Hi,I am far away from a PP dealer, so not able to see models 'live' as easy as some of you. Could I get owners of the 5146 to take some side shots, and comment on how high the watch sits on the wrist - perhaps compared to other pp models or other brands? ThanksSent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
When is "No Price Increase" a Price Increase?
Rolex so far has not increased prices in the US. One can buy any watch at the price it was last year and the year before from an AD (not from a GD). All you have to do is buy from the AD who doesn't have the model which is desired but can supply it if multiple watches are purchased or can supply a PM version of the watch but not the SS standard. The ADs may make the same percentage but make a greater total profit on each watch sold or each sale. The manufacturer realizes a higher profit on each watch it sells (PM vs SS). But no price increase. Yup. I'm buying two tone GMT at a considerably higher price than the Red and Blue staple because in this case I like the watch but also because in this case there will never be an available version of the SS model for me. It is a price increase on the order of $5000. QED.
