This is incredible and my favorite Speedmaster Pro combination
I think out of the Mitsukoshi SE Panda, Gemini blue dial and the CK-2998, this is easily my favorite Speedmaster combination. I switched out the blue strap and placed the special ordered 1125 bracelet on the CK-2998 and the result, just out of this world awesome. The combination screams vintage and the bracelet for some reason just makes the blue look more black and resulting in a super panda look. Omega should really make the CK-2998 release in a bracelet and even if they made the run in 8,000 pieces, they would sell out like hot cakes. Is this not just awesome or what?
Omega Mesh Bracelets...
Hi all,I have a speedmaster and was thinking it would look cool on a mesh bracelet. I'm still somewhat new to Omega and am wonder if there are any recommendations in terms of mesh bracelets... does Omega make one? Or would this be an aftermarket part? Is there a best one? Please let me know and if you have one on a speedy please post a pic! Thanks!Greg
Omega with Class...Cufflinks!!
The best way to top of a great business look or an evening affair is to wear Omega Cufflinks with your Omega watch! I have wanted a pair of these for years. I guess too lazy to just go to the Omega Boutique. But my search came to an end last week arriving from across the Pond aka the UK. After spending more than I wanted...when they arrived they were worth every cent! The detail is unbelievable, from the certificate of authenticity, to the serial numbers engraved on the back, to the engraved omega symbol on the end. I was shocked to see it come in the white mini omega box. If you ever have an opportunity to grab a set...Just Do It!!
Is Patek going away from deployant clasps on some complicatd watches?
I know people have commented on the fact that when Patek introduced the 5905 they removed the deployant claps in favor of the tang buckle (compared to the 5960P).However I recently saw a photo of the 5327 in the Revolution magazine and noticed it has a tang buckle, whereas the 5140 had a deployant clasp. Has any forum member seen the 5327 in person and can you verify that they indeed released the 5327 with a tang buckle?I wonder if this will be a trend or a cost saving measure. Personally I don't know if the 5327 with the thin 240 movement needs a deployant clasp, but it was nice to have one on the 5140.
Incoming from Tony(JUSTROLEXES)!! Got the Blues!!
I spent years wanting a Daytona 116520 black dial, it's a large chunk of change for a watch, a nice-to-have, and I always kept putting off till next week, or next month, which turned into next year, yada yada yada. Then I'd get the bug again and look at Submariner's, thinking it's a little easier pill to swallow, then waffle again to just bite the bullet and wait to pay for the Daytona.Toss in during the years a Tag, an Omega SM, and a Longines, all Chrono's, to lighten the symptoms but never cure the disease.... Recently looking through this fantastic site, I came really, really close to the Datejust 41, smooth bezel, blue face as my next watch, but always heard this voice in my head:How can you own a Rolex without owning a Submariner? And then I saw a Rolex Bluesy, and much research began, and I realized I had to have the 5 Digit 16613 Bluesy...took my breath away, and it completes me.....The countdown begins, from San Diego to Toronto....tracking to be at my door by tomorrow afternoon
