Antiquorum Auctioneers will hold part one of its “Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces” auction at its U.S. headquarters, on Madison Avenue in New York City, on April 25. Included in the spring auction will be an exceptional lineup of collectible Patek Philippe wristwatches, including a Patek Philippe Ref. 3974 in platinum as well as a Patek Philippe Ref. 5013 in yellow gold. Click below for details and to see large images of some of the watches being offered. The highlight of the sale is the Patek Philippe Ref. 3974 in platinum. An extremely rare model, it was made in 1992 and is the property of a focused long-term collector. The watch is an astronomic, minute repeating, self-winding wristwatch with a perpetual calendar, leap-year indication and moon phases. I Admit It, I Have A Weakness For Fashion Brands, And The Release Of The 2008 Hermes Clipper H1 Diver Watch Does Not Help
What is a fashion watch? Well it can mean a couple of things, but in this instance it means a company that mostly makes clothes or other fashion accessories, and then embarks on releasing watches. The nicer the underlying brand, the more expensive the watch. French Hermes not new to this game, but in the last 10 years or so have stepped up their watch offerings. Releasing more mechanical watches along with a more masculine line.I have always been a fan of the Clipper line. The good-looking sports watch depicted numbers oriented toward the center of the watch, with well crafted bracelets and cases that are meant to remind you of clasps and metal patches on the company's signature leather work. The new for 2008 Hermes Clipper H1 200m Diver has a name that makes it blend in with the other models, but is really something new and must more interesting. The first thing you'll notice is the new dial and big date. The "H" pattern on the dial is typical of Hermes' use of the letter "H," and make
When should I flip my SMP 300 For the new Ceramic SMP?
After seeing a few of the photos I know that I must have the new Ceramic SMPWhat advice would you guys have out there?I have a wave dial SMP - Are they different enough to keep both?Should I wait for the Ceramic SMP to show up on the pre-owned market? or do I just go for it now?I also think I might wait to sell my SMP until more boutiques have been able to control the prices, this may result in a boost in the pre-owned prices..Any thoughts?
New SS GMT Bezel Insert Observation
I guess I assumed the new GMT Pepsi SS would have the same Bezel, Cerachrom that the BLNR had but after looking closely, I noticed they are inserts where one color stops and the other starts. Unlike the Bezel on the BLNR that is baked and one color merges into the other, the new bezel colors start and stop abbruptly.Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
New addition: Pics inside
