question on cases for the 44mm roos
Does anyone know 1, how many polishes you can get with ss and gold case?2 what the cost for replacement of the stainless steel, red gold, forged carbon and ceramic?
5711 vs 5712 can someone experienced please elaborate?
I've been searching for the impossible to find 5711 and was offered several opportunities to order a 5712. I wanted to ask the experts here what the primary differences are between the 5711 and 5712 besides aesthetics. The date and seconds hand have their own dials on the 5712 and a power reserve can be seen on a dial. There is a moon phase but it seems like that is the only functional difference between the two watches. Can someone educate me on any other major differences I'm missing? (Difference in movement, power reserve, etc.)
New Patek (and a little-big addition)
After wandering the backstreets of independent makers like FPJ, Ferrier, and Moser, I've returned to the old reliable, and in my humble opinion, still the standard setter. I admit to being a little blas about my 5205 and 5167 for a while now. But I think they just needed some more wrist-time as I've warmed considerably to the 5167 and am enjoying the 5205G again. So that lead me to pick up one my old desirables - the 5396G. Love it! Reminds me of one of my grails, the classic 3448, which sadly has increased in price over the years to quite ridiculous levels. Dressed it down on grey leather strap for now. Also, finally gave in to the Pam 47mm urge and picked a 424 no date. Black strap goes lovely with the polished case. 38mm and 47mm. Small and big delights!IMG_1295.jpgIMG_1300.jpgIMG_1302.jpg
