It is the end of the year and you people are entitled to your lists, round-ups, and best-ofs. I am not a man of superlatives - so please stop asking me what my favorite watch brand, model, or food is. We thankfully live in a world were it is not necessary to choose favorites, and sampling is encouraged (my horological polyamory will continue unscathed). My Humble Daily Sports Rotation..
Sharing my current daily rotation of sports watches, it's going in the AP section since there are two APs present. 2 New Straps for 2 Classic Watches
The summer months are always rough because my wrists sweat and the metal bracelets on my watches get glued to my skin. I decided to try out a few new straps so I could loosen my watches throughout the day. I bought the Hirsch Liberty in brown for the Speedmaster. Always thought brown straps looked great with the Speedmaster. Wanted to go with something other than a Medici It is a calf leather strap treated with natural oils. I hear it can develop a nice patina like the Medici. I particularly like the stitching. It was very soft out of the packaging and does not need a break-in period. Only negative is that it is fairly thick and looks thick on the bottom with a thin wrist like mine.Second is a strap from Bradystraps. Sailcloth pattern in leather, but it is good in the water according to the manufacturer. I chose red stitching to go with the red accent on the second hand. Two 5711s, 1.5 years apart, and look totally different.

I hope everyone is having a pleasant day.So I will make this story as short as possible.I hunted and purchased a brand new 5711 from a guy (now my good friend) in Singapore about 1.5 years ago.I love everything about the 5711, and that was why I decided to see if I would have a chance to get one with my name on the papers.I am primarily a vintage collector, and I would have loved for my few(and my favourite) modern watches to have my name on the papers as sentimental value when being passed down.Not a deal breaker, but it did not hurt to put my name down assuming I would never get called.Fast forward a long time later, I got the call.I had to pursue.
