Watches NEWS
Incoming ......... first in 2014
Just acquired this new model of 2014. It is a very eye catching Navy. I was debating between the Black and this Navy while I was at my local AD yesterday. My eye was caught when this Navy first came out in SIHH 2014 and by chance, I bumped with this beauty. I was told that the new models won't be available until June this year. The Black also has a very sharp match between black and red. The hornback strap with red stitch is also very nice. The Navy has a very beautiful royal-blue dial contrasting with orange hands. The blue rubber strap matches perfectly with the dial. The strap with the tang buckle is also very comfortable to wear. The rubber material seems softer than that of my Diver, hence even better. The difference in price tag between the Black and the Navy is just USD380, therefore, whichever one I go for, there is no significant concern. At the end, the Navy wins over the Black because the Navy is the first one that caught my eyes when it was released and I have some black
Speedmaster Pro VS. FOIS
Before I get into it, I know there have been multiple threads on this comparison. My reasoning may be a little different.. Originally I wanted a Speedmaster Professional as my one and only watch, but ended up buying an 114060 Submariner. I want to add a second watch just to switch things up and a Speedmaster is likely going to happen as a 30th birthday gift to myself. I feel like the First Omega In Space can dress up a little more easily than the Pro. Whichever I choose will be on a leather strap, I'll probably end up with a black and brown strap as well as either a nato or canvas/fabric option to dress it down.Does anyone have any reason I should choose the professional over the fois, other than the classic/hesalite angle? Keep in mind, I want something that compliments my Sub, and it will 100% be on leather (reason I didn't buy the speedmaster pro in the first place was that I couldn't get a proper fit with the limited adjustment on the bracelet) and this will be my dressier piece. N
Will I ever learn?
Thinking of buying a Speedy Pro for the 3rd time, flipped it twice before.I just can get past the way it looks and feels on a Nato StrapThis never ends...
