Chopard Now Selling Watches & Jewelry Online In The US
Chopard is the latest luxury company to use the internet for sales of their products. They join a long list of competitor brands such as Cartier, Montblanc, and Bell & Ross who are using the internet's reach and 24/7 availability to sell their products to interested consumers. I pointed out 4-5 years ago that online sales for luxury giants direct to consumers would be inevitable. Each few months more and more brands set up shop online with their own direct-to-consumer e-boutiques. Most people win, but arguably hurt are traditional brick-and-mortar independent retailers who will lose out on a lot of sales. What will their place be moving forward?Internet sales for the Swiss watch brand Chopard will currently only be available in the United States. In reference to my above statement (ironically), Chopard USA President Mr. Marc Hruschka stated that, "the watch and jewelry market has changed dramatically in the past four or five years thanks in great part to the rise of social media, a
Egg-Shaped Women's Watches Make Easter Egg Hunting Easier, More Expensive
Dedicated to all the ladies and their Easter outfits are two watches sure to fit in. The Girard Perregaux Cat's Eye ladies watch and Breguet Reine De Naples are two finely egg-shaped timepieces for the pastel-laden woman in your life on this day. Each from noble swiss watch makers, with prices like these you will hope that she is going to wear them more than once a year.In fact, egg-shaped watches are nothing new, but typically reserved for the lady folk. Back in the late 18th century, egg-shaped pocket watches were being made for women, as a more graceful alternative to the ordinarily round shaped pocket watches. The oval shape gives the watch maker more too add decorative elements to the watch. Both the Girard Perregaux Cat's Eye and Breguet Reine De Naples have moonphase complications, adding to the status of these watches, but not something highly useful for day outings. The Breguet watches add a power reserve indicator that is very useful for this type of watch as it is good to kn
A few pictures of the 5130p
Patek really knows how to make beautiful dials. Always dynamic and mesmerizing.
Did this happen to you?
I was starring at my watch collection one day that included patek, AP, breguet and rolex and realized that patek is by far the most amazing watch and brand. I then decided to sell and trade all of my collection for pateks. That was two years ago for me. I know realize that it is the only brand I am interested in. The more I learn about the brand and history the more impressed I am. I realize now that I am no longer a watch enthusiast but a patek enthusiast. Every now and then I am tempted by another brand, but I realize I am just wasting my time because as soon as I buy anything else I will end up trading it for a patek. I don't even buy watch magazines anymore or visit non-patek watch stores.I now understand this statement for myself There are only two types of watches, patek and everything elseHas this happened to anyone else?
Chefs and their watches?
I am a massive fan of cuisine, along with others I'm sure. Ive been cooking since I was very young and have always wished I had become a chef. I'm always visiting new restaurants all over the world, watching cooking / chef related reality shows on TV etc One thing I notice is many chefs have extremely good tastes in watches! I've seen more rolexes consistently on chefs than I have anywhere else in the wild. Could be because I spend too much time in restaurants lolAnyone on here a chef professionally? If so could you tell me, Are watches and WIS very common in the industry? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
