Oris Air Racing Limited Edition III Watch For Reno
If you recognize this new limited edition Oris watch as familiar, that is because it is. The new Air Racing Edition III watch is based on the very popular Oris BC3 watch collection - a handsome tool-style watch with a high level of refinement and under-the-radar-personality. It is an easy favorite of ours when we want something legit, but not complicated to look at or think about when reading the time. The BC3 has been the base of a few other models, and is now the foundation of Oris's newest limited edition Air Racing watch. The Air Racing Edition III timepiece celebrates Oris' sponsorship of the Swiss team that will compete at the 2013 Reno Air Races very soon.watches-dealer took you to Reno last year with Breitling. What is special about The Reno Air show is that isn't just a show, but has actual racing. So while Breitling is an official sponsor of the event, Oris is the sponsor of one of the racing teams (the Swiss one). Breitling also happens to sponsor a racing team. The Swiss ai

Bring a Loupe: The Two World-Class Watches From 1942 That Could Sell Cheap At Next Week's Christie's Geneva Auction (Relatively Speaking)
One of the questions I'm asked most by watch collectors is "what's next?" in the world of vintage watches. We've seen the likes of Universal Geneve and Heuer really climb over the last few years, and Rolex and Patek – well – you know about them already. The two answers that I have been most often giving over the last 18 months or so, at least when talking about high-end vintage watches, is complicated Vacheron and AP's. The quality, the design, and pure, unadulterated watchmaking make these two categories so fun to observe, and the rarity and value make them fantastic places to spend your hard-earned money, in particular relative to vintage Patek. Today I'll take a look at two watches, both for sale in next Monday's Christie's Geneva sale, that are simply divine vintage watches, and could in fact both sell at the low end of estimates simply because, well, they're not Pateks. And that is just silly. Strangely, they both happen to hav
Pam 249 or pam448
Found a local seller but torn on which I should pick up. Both are priced at the same. I already own the Pam 449, just wanted it's brother .
My New Prince (5443/9)
Certainly not a traditional Rolex look but one very elegant none the less. The finishing and overall size still reads modern, although the art deco roots are evident. 18k white gold, time, small seconds, and yes an exhibition case back. I choose this over a JLC reverso in terms of adding a rectangle watch to my collection. Discontinued in 2014 but was able to get a new, old stock watch with box and papers online. Enjoy this blast from the past.
