Miki Eleta Timeburner Watch Inspired By Motorcycle Engine
Clock and mechanical artist, Mr. Miki Eleta, is a person we very much admire and whose work has really inspired and amazed us. We last discussed Miki Eleta when his work was featured at the MB&F MAD Gallery in Geneva, and as a surprise for 2015, he has introduced his first watches. The Miki Eleta Timeburner is a new type of exotic timepiece, with a movement dial, and heavily inspired by engines - namely motorcycle engines. At launch, there will be three versions of the Timeburner watch and even though it is a limited production timepiece I don't believe it will be stratospherically priced.Miki Eleta worked with AHCI member Marc Jenni on the production of the movement for the Timeburner. The movement works off of a base Swiss ETA 6497 manually wound movement, which has a special system on it that uses a piston rod-style hand to indicate the minutes along a sort of linear scale to the left of the dial. The right side of the dial has a disc which indicates the hour. It is, of course,
MB&F HM2 Black & Red SV Final Edition Watches
The MB&F Horological Machine Number 2 has enjoyed a really rich life. The 'wrist rectangle' is now going into its final limited edition production with two new models. These are the HM2 Black SV and Red SV. "SV" stands for Sapphire Vision, and are related to the original HM2 Sapphire Vision watch that I discussed here - and had a real-life image of here. The whole point of the Sapphire Vision watch was the massive sapphire crystal that made up the front plate of the piece. The crystals were ungodly expensive to make and a tortuous trial in patience as many would break in the manufacturing process. One you make the crystal and it is stable, they are relatively strong, but the weakness is in making them. Now MB&F revisits the SV concept with these two new, slightly more showy models. I am not going to go into full technical specs about the piece - because I have already done that, and they are below. The movement is the sweet looking caliber specially designed for the HM2 with 349

Joined the club too late, now what ?15300...15400 or nothing at all ?
Hi everyoneI fell in love a little too late it seems. As one of my 2 JLC is gone to his new owner, I realized that there is no more new 15300 anywhere and that nobody is selling a LNIB one either.I see that the 15300 is the main choice for most people but the 15400 bring back the double bars at 12 the original jumbo has. Overall I don't thinks it's that bad compared to the 153oo but what you guys would do ?I love the 15400 but it seems there is not much love for it around...Let me know what you think.
Incoming "sort of"
So I have been looking online at the PAM00687 that will be released soon and deciding how I feel about it. I have been wanting to pick up a Radiomir to go with my 422 and I love the dial on the 687. I am not sure how limited this watch is going to be or what the demand will be but I never have any luck landing hard to get pieces despite spending decent money with my AD. Today I put in a call and to my surprise I was the first to inquire about the watch and with a 20% deposit was able to secure the watch that they say I should get sometime in March! The other thing that is pretty cool is they will order it in with a long strap, this is great news since the standard size strap on my 422 was to short to use. Anyone else going to be getting one of these? I was a little on the fence but now that I know I am getting one I am totally happy and $9800 price tag seems reasonable.
