In Surprise Ruling, COMCO Halts Swatch Group Escapement Cuts
Switzerland's Competition Commission (COMCO) has ruled that it would be premature to allow the Swatch Group to reduce supplies of assortments (i.e. the regulating organ of a mechanical movement: escape wheel, pallet lever, balance wheel and balance spring) that it sells to Swiss watch brands outside the group. While favoring a continued reduction in supplies of mechanical watch movements, COMCO halted further cuts in assortments supplies. It rejected a proposed plan for a gradual reduction of both movements and assortments through 2021 and 2025 respectively. The surprise ruling is the latest development in a drama that has gripped the Swiss watch industry for two years. At issue is whether the Swatch Group, the world's largest watch company and the dominant supplier of mechanical movements and parts to Swiss watch brands, can legally reduce those supplies. got me a Superocean II 44
After thoughtful research. I decided to take the plunge with the Breitling Superocean II 44. I cannot be any happier. i got the watch from a AD here in Miami. and i got an excellent deal i could refuse.
Dark side of the moon
Anyone here can share some thought about the watch? Im planning to go to Japan. Originally tried to hunt some rolexes, but found out the price nowadays is getting very unlogical. So I tried to find some other brand. And i just recall that I used to admire this watch so bad.I checked to some dealer in Japan, price of this watch preowned will be around usd7100 over there. Is the price good enough? How this watch hold the value if i purchase with that price?
Photo of Photograph
Hi. Happy New Year to everyone reading this.As you are probably aware I've been doing a series of Photo shoots of my Omega Watch Collection. I have had a few members PM about how do I do them, Well to assist me in answering I thought a photo says a 1000 words. Basically it is a mixture of a Light tent, defused flash in Light box, Daylight balanced studio lighting and a reflector and reflecting board and of course the macro lens and Camera + Tripod......etc. The set up takes over the spare bedroom for a week but the wife is very understanding and deserves a medal. Thanks again for all the encouraging comments. I have enjoyed reading them alot. I will be posting the last two sets of pics very soon. The 38mm Constellation and an Omega family photo to finish with. Have a great day
