The Value Proposition: The Archimede Pilot 39, With Untreated Bronze Case And Workhorse ETA Movement
Drive north from New York City and in about two hours you’ll arrive at Dia:Beacon, one of the finest collections of contemporary art around, in a remarkable setting on the Hudson River. Hopefully, while there, you’ll have a surreal encounter with "Crouching Spider" – a massive sculpture by artist Louise Bourgeois. What exactly does this have to do with watches? Well, "Crouching Spider" uses bronze as a key material in its construction, the same metal used for the case of the Pilot 39 from German watchmaker Archimede. Tudor prince- date oysterquartz

World Timers
Curious and would very much like to hear from our resident experts (if I may impose):1. Do you guess that the 5131R will be as limited as the J and G or will Patek produce more of these and be easier to get? I looked at an older thread on this topic, but perhaps more insight now. How impossible is it to get at retail pricing for a mere mortal such as myself?2. I like the 5110P. The hands seem small and time difficult to read; is that true? How does it compare in size to a 36mm Rolex Day Date (any pictures)?
Opinions on PAM 320 and Cost
Hi, All.I am trying to decide between a PAM 320 and a Big Pilot. Probably prefer the BP, but the cost difference is making me lean toward the PAM. What are the prevailing thoughts on the PAM 320 these days? Also, how does $6,960 BNIB sound as a price...that is 20% off.
