Poll: Your Hand-Orientation & What Wrist You Wear Your Watch On?
I'm left-handed and I also prefer to wear a watch on my left wrist. That makes me somewhat unusual because the traditional "rule" when it comes to your wrist watch is that it goes on your non-dominant hand's wrist. So if I were like more people and followed the "rule," I would wear my watch on my right wrist because I am left-handed.So why don't I conform to the more typical orientation of wearing my watch on my non-dominant wrist? I don't actually know. I am pretty sure that I started wearing a watch from an extremely early age (perhaps 3 or 4years old) and no one was there to explain to me what wrist I should wear my watch on. What I probably did (as any young child does) is observe where most adults were wearing their watches C and I followed suit.A recent e-mail from an watches-dealer reader (thanks Jonno) in Australia asked me if I knew anything about the history of wrist watches for lefties. I realized that I wasn't aware of any such "lefty watch" history, and assumed that for th
Where to buy AP?
New member and so glad i found this site. I have been looking at getting an AP and have finally chosen the RO 15400 in pink gold, white dial with brown strap. This is my problem, I live in Maine and no one sells AP or really anything besides Rolex. I have been looking online on where to buy. I have found pricing a little all over the place from retail pricing to a few thousands lower. I have called a few sellers and have mixed feelings. Can anyone recommend a place that they fell they have been treated fairly? I have a few things to consider, first I would rather pay a little more but get great customer service, second if I can avoid sales tax that would be great and lastly I don't want to pay retail.any and all advice is greatly appreciated!Cheers
Id like to make an Apology to PP members!!!
For some time now I've been posting some non gentlemen remarks about Patek Philippe on various threads. Even though it was my personal opinion I've posted a little distastefully . I knew about the brand before joining TRF but not really much more other than it was an expensive luxury watch ... To all Patek Philippe owners and enthusiasts I personally give my sincere apologies... I've become more appreciative of the brand being on TRF and who knows maybe one day I may sport a Calatrava as a dress watch ...

Has the value of the watch gone up since it was discontinued?
Aaron Faber
Aaron Faber Gallerys is a rip-off.They have a website: Aaron Faber clearly engages in highly questionable disreputable business practices:For instance, Aaron Faber offer, for nominal annual fee a so-called Collectors Club which allegedly offers a range of services to the serious collector. Arron Faber want people to pay a so called nominal annual fee for privileges that are basically worthless.Ed Faber touts himself as some kind of legend. However, his reputation based on excellent reliable sources is highly questionable. From a bona fide customers perspective he engages in the most ruthless of sharp business practices. From a bona fide customers perspective Ed Faber of Arron Faber engages in the most ruthless of sharp business practices treating his customers with total contemptible disrespect. In my opinion, I would seriously caution anyone to stay away......well away of Aaron Faber. I personally know someone who has been taken down by Ed Faber and Aaron Faber to the tune of tens of
