Sinn 356 Review
We've covered Sinn plenty in the past, so most of our readers already know the spiel when it comes to this German favorite. But outside of their line of rugged over-engineered mechanical wonders, Sinn is also known for producing some fantastic low-tech entry-level watches like the 556, the recent 104, and the discontinued 656. Most who handle these timepieces would agree that their level of finish puts other brands selling similarly priced watches to shame. However, none of these hold a candle to my favorite timepiece in their more affordable line-up, the Sinn 356 PILOT chronograph. In many ways, the 356 is everything one could hope for in a military-inspired tool watch, which shouldn't come as a shock since the design is reminiscent of a pilot chronograph favorite, the IWC 3706. There are a number of variants in the 356 line: the 356 Sa with sapphire crystal, the 356 PILOT UTC with, you guessed it, a UTC complication, the 356 Sa GR with power reserve indicator, and the 356 Sa PILOT II
First AP thoughts...
Hello. First post here. I know there's similar threads here, so any thoughts appreciated.....I've only had REAL passion for Rolex up to this point, it's all I wear. But, I am beginning to entertain thoughts of an AP. I like the pics of the sport themed AP's, I have mostly sport in my Rolex collection. Anyone find themselves going, or have gone down this same path? Any thoughts on.....did you do it? Are you glad? Any regrets? How you feel now about diversifying? Thoughts on sport AP? Thanks for any help/insight
Watch Photos part 2
Hi Again. My 2nd photo session today and the new Speedmaster Cal 9300. This watch was so difficult to in get hold off, I had it on order since the summer and only got it around 2 weeks ago, but Omega Customer Care pulled through eventually.
Kevlar Speedy
Just got an OEM Omega Kevlar band from Otto Frei. I think it looks good IMGP0046.jpgIMGP0050.jpgIMGP0048.jpg
Question: 5712 and Watch Winder
I know people have varying opinions on watch winders so I wanted to ask the question specifically related to a 5712. Is a winder safe to use with the 240 movement? Any specific recommendations?I wear the watch in rotation and am not sure whether its better to keep it wound or to have to regularly reset the moonphase with the pusher so wanted to get people's thoughts. Thanks in advance.
