De Bethune DBS Tourbillon Watch For 2015
Baselworld 2015 sees the release of the De Bethune DBS Tourbillon, a futuristic homage to the brand's recent past. The De Bethune DBS Tourbillon's raison d'etre is to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the De Bethune DBS, and to simultaneously showcase how far this ambitious company has come in the last decade. Founded in 2002, the manufacture has created a recognizable brand aesthetic that counts distinctive size, astute visual consistency, and surprisingly unusual color schemes amongst its most eye-catching traits. By adding a tourbillon to the De Bethune DBS model, De Bethune is updating one of its more iconic pieces for their avid fans. At 6 o'clock on the dial, the high-frequency tourbillon beats away at 36,000 vph. Such an operating speed is made possible by the weight (or lack thereof) of the 63 components that are used in the tourbillon's construction. 15202 as a daily?
GentlemenI have a 15400 blue dial which I am now seriously thinking of selling and then upgrading to a 15202. The reason being that the 15400 is simply not my daily go-to watch as I had hoped. It's slightly big and uncomfortable. I work in the office and wear a suit on my days and am looking for a timepiece that can wear on a daily basis. The choices are:1. Sell the 15400 and Upgrade to a 15202; or2. Keep 15400 and buy a Ingenieur automatic blue laureus. Some pics of my collection attached. I also include a photo of the iwc laureus. Does anyone use the 15202 as a daily office wear? Which of the two options would you go for? Any other recommendations?
Got my 50's bumper back from service =)
So I have had this Omega 52' Seamaster Bumper Caliber ever since i was a young lad (My grandfathers). To my knowledge it was not serviced for at least 30 years?? maybe ever if that's possible? It still worked (somewhat) but would stop periodically, lose massive amounts of time daily and did not make a nice sound when winding. Anyway I felt for the little guy and decided to throw him a life raft and give him a chance for many more years. Just got it back, most likely spent more on the service/restoration than the watch is worth but what the heck. Sometimes its nice to see an old friend rather than a new one. Tell me what you think, first is the before shot. beforephoto (3).jpgAfter:photo (1).jpgphoto (2).jpgphoto (4).jpg
A Little Patek Limoges Box!!!
I absolutely love this Patek Limoges porcelain box. It currently belongs to one of my best friends, but he might sell it to me soon!
