FortyFive Perpetual Calendar Watch Of Piaget Polo
With an impressive level of symmetry, the dial displays the time, retrograde date, the retrograde day of the week, months, the indicator of reserve power for the movement, time with the subsidiaries seconds, second time zone, leap year indicator and a clever moon phase indicator. On the dial that is, it is a few shades of black, while and rose gold.
The 45 mm wide case is titanium with 18 k accents or roses. Over 18 k pink gold is used on the dial for the hands and some rings deal. At first glance, the watch looks a little like a complex chronograph but made an impressive level of functionality in it.
A very utilitarian key that I appreciate is labelled pushers medallion on the side of the case. Calendar perpetual watches were often pin on the case of pushers to adjust the calendar functions. Piaget has thoughtfully opted to label to make less burdensome the shows setting. See more images of this Piaget Polo teleshopping upcoming shows in the gallery below.

Three On Three: Comparing In-House, Manually-Wound Dress Watches Under $20,000
Welcome to Three On Three. It's one thing for us to give you an in-depth look at a single watch, to wear it and review it, on its own. But there are always options out there. With Three On Three we select a category, choose three watches that represent competitive takes on a theme, and compare them head-to-head. To kick things off, we went with a basic in any man's watch wardrobe, the manually-wound dress watch. Of course we had to get a little more selective, so we've picked three that all feature in-house movements for under $20,000: A. Lange & Söhne's Saxonia in pink gold, F.P. Journe's Chronomètre Bleu, and Vacheron Constantin's Patrimony Traditionnelle Small Seconds in pink gold. All three are seriously impressive entry points into true high-end watchmaking and here Benjamin Clymer, Stephen Pulvirent, and Paul Boutros dissect them side-by-side. 1 OF 52 Let's start with the set-up. For someone looking to get into real in-hou

What a Difference a Year Makes
Last year around this time I walked into a certain SoCal Rolex Boutique and was given a VIP show around the place by one of the salesmen. They had virtually all models on display minus the SS Daytona and all could have been picked up that day. Trying on a BLNR pulled from the case rekindled my desire for another Rolex. Took around nine months for me to pull the trigger but it was that experience that brought me back.Fast forward to yesterday. I walked into the same store occupied by a guard at the door and two sales women in the back. I was greeted with courtesy and I started browsing around. As at many dealers these days lots of Datejusts and PM pieces, not much else. I noted the shortage and asked if they were again receiving stock, especially SS sport stuff. Her reply floored me. Yes, but all those are going to our VIP customers. So I asked exactly why have a walk in boutique that only sells the good stuff to a select few? Shrugged shoulders. I thanked her for basically telling
Anyone putting off their next Rolex purchase??
I'm curious if anyone who had plans for their next Rolex purchase have decided to hold off because of how the market is acting?
