Giveaway: Bathys Benthic Ti Watch
OK, I have to admit I am jealous - I want one of these. One of you will get to win this fantastic Hawaii-based Bathys Benthic Ti watch this month. It might be cold outside, but you can dream about an island paradise. 48mm wide and in titanium, this large men's watch isn't going to be too heavy, and features Bathys' iconic sport suave styling that says, "I know how to look good when relaxing or having fun." A dive watch at heart, the Benthic Ti has a domed sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 200 meters. Of course it has a rotating diver's bezel and SuperLumiNova covered hands and hour indicators. Inside the watch is a Swiss Ronda quartz movement with a retrograde day of the week indicator along with a big-date indicator. The dial is super easy to read, but has a laid-back calmness to it that is in line with the timepiece's Hawaiian origins. The Bathys Benthic Ti comes on a black (waterproof) leather strap with red contrast stitching and also includes a rubber diving strap. Like al

Last week I decided I was going to sell my Panerai 605. I had had plenty of admirers and people saying, 'if you ever get tired of it'...The 605 was a beautiful piece but it was just a bit too big and chunky for my wrist. The 47mm 1950 is just too big for me. The 1940s however is beautiful.Annnnyway, I contacted a member whom I have dealt with here before, on Friday, to ask if he was interested. He was and he suggested he would trade this peice. We met the next day, both our eyes lit up and the trade was done. When you both feel you've traded well that's part of the joy of this hobby of hours! The closer I look at this watch the more fascinating it becomes. Now that i have Panerai,Rolex, AP and IWC I am having a problem in choosing which watch to wear!

I'm in hot pursuit of my first Daytona
I'm in hot pursuit of my first Daytona.I'm now wondering if maybe I should forego buying a highly overpriced 116500LN ($18,000-$20,000+) and instead go for a well cared for 116520. Should I decide to pursue a second hand Daytona SS 116520 which year model should I set my sights on? Are the newer year(s) such as 2014-15 better than previous years? Do any of the 116520 model years have annoying characteristics I should avoid?Any other pointers and suggestions? Many thanks for your help.
