Carl F. Bucherer Manero BigDate Power
Carl F. Bucherer’s new three-hand Manero BigDate Power is driven by the CFB 1964 automatic movement and has has two functions. At 6 o'clock is a power reserve indication that extends in a gentle curve between the 5 o'clock and 8 o'clock indexes. The big date is displayed in a frame at 12 o'clock. Find pricing inside. The 40mm round case is available in stainless steel or 18k rose gold, on bracelet or strap, and with or without diamonds. The Dauphine hands are a first for a Manero timepiece. The stainless steel ranges from $5,800 on strap to $6,400 on a bracelet. Rose gold ranges from $16,600 on strap to $33,800 on a bracelet. The diamond versions are $23,600 in rose gold on a strap and $40,700 in rose gold on a bracelet.
Burberry have equipped the movement with twin barrels
A new guard pin system developed for the watch enhances shock resistance. This reduces the risk of accidental displacement of the pallet fork. The high frequency of the movement has a significant thirst for energy. Burberry have equipped the movement with twin barrels affording the watch a power reserve of 90 hours. I particularly like the view of the spring barrels, visible from both the front and back of the watch.
5167R - bling or no bling
I'm considering a 5167r and, while I wouldn't wear a full gold watch, I've read some of the comments on this forum and it seems that some 5167r owners to feel differently about 5167r, in that it does not have the bling normally associated with gold watches. Is it still considered a sport watch in gold? I have a 5167a which I'm bonded to, but would consider flipping that for 5164a to complement 5167r. Appreciate any comments.
5165 VS 5167? Is dial different?
Hey guys.As a new patek lover, I have to ask.I have seen many contradicting things about this, but does the 5165 have that mesmerising color changing dial that the 5167 has?Problem is that I don't love the size of the 5167, but would be bummed if the 5165 didn't look more or less the same in a smaller size.I don't mind the movement, which I am aware is different. Does not bother me one bit.Also. How difficult would it be to acquire the 5165? Not sure when it was discontinued. Thanks guys!
Is this a good time to buy a submariner/gmt?
Hello all,I hope you had an excellent weekend. I've finally saved enough and looking forward to buy my first Rolex, deciding between 116610/114060 and gmt blnr.I have been doing my research over the past few weeks and got some concerns, any advice is much appreciated! There have been a number of rumours about a new movement (32xx) in the subs this year and possibly a more significant decrease in the supply. How much better is the 32xx movement comparing to the 3135 movement other than the power reserve? As baselworld 2018 is only 2months away, can you guys give me some guidance on whether I should hold on or not(considering the models are available)?Thank you all in advance for your assistance and input!
