My 3rd Audemars Piguet on the way
Hello,Some may remember I previously had a ROO Rubberclad and a BumbleeBee, sold them and went with a more conservative lineup. Well for the past few months I had a Royal Oak itch that needed scratching and finally after reviewing the lineup and doing some research I just negotiated with a well known seller on the boards to get me a AP 15202st.AP as a brand is more the style I like and still prefer it to PP when it comes to sports watches, I gave the nautilus a try and not emotionally connected to the dial nor the bezel. After 2 years of no Audemars Piguet on my wrist I am now awaiting my new special piece which is a 15202st Royal Oak 40th anniversary extra thin.I wouldnt of thought I would go for simple style watches a couple of years back where I had ROO's. Rolex in Alaska!
Well after 25 years of wanting a Rolex I finally pulled the trigger and bought a Submariner date. 116410 Black!! My desire to own started out when I first seen a sub while on vacation in Hawaii. And every time I took the family on vacations undoubtedly was in some mall that a Rolex AD was. I tried one on every year and always had a great white glove experience. Two months ago I called my Alaska Anchorage Rolex AD and got on the list And was told that they have not received one in 6 months and to be patient. I received a call from Macey, the Rolex sales lady! I paid for it over the phone and and picked it up a week later when I got home from work. The watch tech removed two links and it now fits like a glove. I paid the MSRP of 8550$ and I am very glad to own this watch. It's beautiful and I will wear it daily. Ted
First Post And...Incoming!
This is my first post. Thank you to all of you here for the great wealth of information over the last two months or so! After lurking/researching/learning, I headed to my local AD on Friday to see models in person, though I was pretty set on a Sub no date. When I arrived, and before I could even fully ascertain whether they had a Sub not date or not, I noticed a GMT Master II BLNR in the case and was immediately drawn to it. I liked it so much more in person than I realized I would.Just like that, I own my first Rolex. Great AD, MSRP price (I got a Rolex Titleist Pro V1 Golf Ball), and a beautiful watch. Thanks again to all of you here for making me a smarter/more informed shopper! Pictures attached.
