Broken speed master pro
Hi all. I dropped speedy pro down about 3 feet on tile floor. Chrystal Broke. Watch shop wants about $950 to fix. They say a full service is required to check or replace oils after a fall. They also say the main spring is worn and watch was fully serviced less than 2 years ago. I think they want about 200 to just change the plastic. Thoughts. Does this seem right? I know the plastic is 45 dollar item. What does omega charge for full service. Am I better off going to omega? Thanks.
Thick watches
Practically all the 8500/9300 Co-Ax watches appear to suffer from the common complaint of being too thick for many people. (myself included) Don't they all come with a display caseback, and isn't this a significant contributor to the thickness? I've never had a watch with a display back, and frankly don't care much what the insides look like as long as they work. Perhaps it's more due to the 300 & 600m case rating because I don't think I've ever heard the complaint about an 8500 AT 150. My GMT II-C has a very flat, comfortable case back and wears about like my Speedy. The big dial/fat case designs don't do much for me.____________________________TT OysterQuartzSS/Black U DaytonaTT GMT II-CDD OysterQuartzBreitling AeroOmega Speedmaster Pro

Told myself I'd try and remember to share when my contacts call and I'm not after the models! If anyone's looking for either, PM me, I will hook you up with my contact if you're in the area.
GMT BLNR Today or Wait for SS Pepsi
Looking for input here, it's something I'm seriously considering. In short, I have the opportunity to pick up a BLNR from my AD within a month's time. I could have had one last weekend but I told my sales guy that given how close we are to Basel, I just had to wait and see what happens. If the new release was going to be a Coke on jubilee, I would have ran back to him to get a BLNR as fast as possible. The Pepsi release mixes things up though.I'm already on a wait list for the Pepsi with small deposit at an AD in TX where I have some family. They wouldn't take full payment since I guess they haven't received the manifest yet and probably don't know for sure when the new GMT is coming in and how many they're getting. From my perspective, the attractive qualities of the Pepsi include:1) classic color scheme. I don't own a GMT yet -- if I were to add one to my collection, this would be a great model to have2) more fun and flashy looking than the BLNR. I have some other Rolex watches I could
