Ex US Louis Moinet Watch Distributor Sells Collection On eBay
Louis Moinet watches have recently switched distributors here in the US. The former US distributor is selling off much of his personal Louis Moinet watch collection on eBay. There are some great finds and these watches won't last long. One of the watches includes the above pictured Vertalis Tourbillon, which retails for over $200,000, and is available for a more reasonable starting bid of $62k. Some of the auctions have starting bids of just $250 bucks. Check out the eight available Louis Moinet watches via the link below.See Louis Moinet Watches on eBay here. Ceramic Diver or Ceramic ROO Chrono. Which would you choose?
Like the thread states which would you choose between these 2? Trying to decide. Either the offshore ceramic diver or the offshore all ceramic chrono with the anthracite dial.
My next PP help
I am having a difficult time picking my next time piece. I am looking for a daily wear like my 15300 with non calendar complications except date around the 30k range. Also need to have decent water resistance for swimming or water activities (missing in my AP)I tried on a 5711 with white dial at local dealer. Really liked the fit with slim case. My AP is white dialed so wanted the blue dial. I recently lost an opportunity to buy a blue dialed 5711 at retail ($25k) and refuse to pay mark up prices. Looking at the PP catalog, the Aquanaut caught my eye a watch I never really considered. It seems practical, durable and the rubber strap is unique in the PP line plus same movement as the 5711. I have had other rubber strap watches and have been quite comfortable. The aquanaut seems to be overlooked often over the Nautilus. Within budget I can get the 5167R with gold case and clasp or the 5164 steel world time that can be useful during travels. Though the left pushers on 5164 seems out of pl
Incoming! Correct guess WIN GE London book!
Yes that's right I'm being generous this month on August because its the month of my birthday. Freaking 30 now so old. So if everything goes well I will have a new watch tomorrow, if you can guess what it is I will mail you the book still the plastic brand new. I was there on the last day of the exhibition and they were giving out multiples of books to the visitors. 4 clues to make it easier:-the watch has a moon phase -black dial-not limited edition-currently i have 5164, wouldn't want another sport watch. The real reason why I'm giving out the book is because I want to say big big thank you to every members in this forum especially the pledge members for providing insight full information on Patek watch. You guys have truly poison my mind. This forum is a great learning experience for people who are new to luxury watches like myself. I wouldn't call myself a Patek collector or a watch collector for that matter, rather just an admirer of great watches. Thus the book will mean much more
Any 5550P owners on TRF?
Hi all, I am currently saving towards a 5970G (I prefer the dial over the 5970P's black. Though I would much rather have a platinum to match the 3970P in the box, I just can't do the dial.) And the 5970J and 5970R don't really peak my love for PP perpetual chronos in white metal. This being said I was curious if anyone out there had a 5550P because, though it would delay a 5970G, the size, shape and thickness (or lack there of) really appeal to me and I loved the 5140P when I spent time with it (but don't care for the blue dial..though I love me some white/silver dials with blue straps..)Anywho if there are any 5550P owners out there if you could share your experience, photos are a must, and even perhaps a little video (because there are none). Thanks much! ''
