Watches NEWS
15400 & 26320 both in a collection?
So I now own both a 15400 & 26320 as 2 of my 3 watch collection. The 15400 is a steel with bracelet & blue dial while the 26320 is a rose gold white dial on strap. Pictures attached. (Sorry no picture of my 15400 on my iPad)A lot of non wiz have been asking me why I have the same watch (although technically it's not the same) in steel and the other in rose gold, and it's kinda gotten into my head. I'm thinking mayb I'll just get tired of looking at the AP genta hexagon design and I should flip my 15400 for some other steel (havnt thought which one yet). What do you guys think? Are there others out there who own a 15400 And a 26320 as well? What are your thoughts?
New Arrival!!
Hi all,It has been a while since I added a new AP to my collection. I just received this piece a few hours ago and I was a little anxious since I have not seen this piece in person. It has been quite busy at work so I'll upload more pics this weekend. Since Mike has been teasing us with his new arrival on the Patek forum, I figured I might as well tease you guys with this shot.
Breitling/Bifora
Reading on another Breitling site it states that in the early 50s Breitling stopped making in house movements and brought in others from outside, was one the Bifora cal. 2030 15 jewel, the 2030 movement in this watch certainly dates from the early 50s, please see scan, any help please!
5711, BLNR, and ....
Hello TRF:I currently have a 5711 and BLNR in my two watch collection and I'm in the market for another watch. I have owned many watches but find myself coming back to Patek and Rolex. The big question is what should be next?! I dress business casual to work and pretty casual on the weekends. I'd love to stay around $10k-ish so I'm thinking possibly a vintage Calatrava (preferably not a hobnail dial) or maybe a vintage Rolex like a 1601...Any recommendations for a Calatrava in that price range? (Slightly smaller sizes are okay with me). What reference number for the Calatrava? Which metal is best for retaining value? Suggestions of other watches to complement what I have are welcome if you feel there is something better than Calatrava/Vintage Rolex. Thanks in advance!
Opinions on Patek 5726
Hello,My first post here. I am saving up for my first Patek Nautilus for next year and will like to know what do you all think about the Patek 5726? I saw the timepiece in the Hour Glass Boutique in Singapore and it's selling for SGD53K including tax ( about USD43K ) for a Stainless steel model with leather strap and it looks gorgeous. I find the 5711 too plain looking while I have not much use for chrono and don't like the dual time. Is it worth paying a bit more for the full stainless steel bracelet? And should I go for a RG or WG version if exist? Here are some shots I took. I am also wondering if prices in Europe will be better. Thanks in advance!
