AP RO for a Daytona - would you trade?
Hi guys,I have a 116520 Daytona, which I like. However, I still cant get over the RO, which was on my shortlist when buying the Daytona.I finally decided to go for the Daytona based on rugged design, good value and the overall look of it (and of course the icon status...)They are about the same price in the pre-loved market (Im thinking about the 116520 vs. AP 15300) so an even trade would be possible I guessOne of the reasons not chosing the AP was the high service cost and the more delicate feel of it (e.g. lower WR and more easily scratched) - but is this true or nothing to worry about? To conlude my long rant - would you trade a Daytona for a Royal Oak?(I guess I will get subjective answers here...)
Seamaster PO chrono or non chrono
It's almost Christmas and I'm on a big dilemma. I have a big wrist and I have been going over the decision to get a PO big size. I can't decide if I am getting the chrono or non chrono PO. Another option is Co Axial Speedmaster coz the SM Pro is quite small for my 7.5 wrist. Hope I can get help in deciding and some feedback would be great.
ID Vintage Ladies Omega Model Please
One our wedding day, my wife inherited an 18K white gold Omega owned by her deceased mother. The watch had been kept locked in a safe for more than 12 years. The safe was installed in the floor of the house, and after it was opened, it was discovered that the safe had been flooded some time in the previous 12 years. The watch was taken to a local watchmaker, who was able to clean it up, install a vintage Omega movement, and acrylic crystal. He stated that he had the movement and parts on hand because some people are selling the watches to his partner the jeweler, for gold content, and he is able to save the movements, crystals etc. He also stated that although the movement differed slightly from original, it fit perfectly. The Omega logo, as well as any other markings on the dial were lost. We are happy to have the watch not only looking good, but also working again.Does anyone have any idea as to the model name or number and a possible date of manufacture. The back and bracele
Owning both Aquanauts!
Hello, I'm pretty sure it's my first post other than a good transaction post for a seller. I have a simple question yet mind cluster for my self. I was wondering if you guys think a PP5167 and a PP5164 can live in harmony together. A little info, I currently own a 67 and love it, but I'm feening for a 64!However I also own a Rolex GMT Batman which I adore also! Would not need to sell it but still need to mention that. Are they (5167/5164) too similar ?Is spending $30k plus on a 5164 right choice when I can possibly troll the web for a Nautilus 5726A leather (I like straps and leather watches lately). I know it's all reall based on personal choice but I've always loved the Aquanaut line from Patek but worry of becoming too one dimensional!Thank you guys ahead of time for the help!-Frank
