Obris Morgan Branco - Initial Impressions
The full review is available here. Let me present you with an equation that doesn’t balance: matte PVD black coated titanium case + sapphire crystal with an AR coating + Miyota 8215 automatic + 3 straps + a pelican style case = $239 If your reaction isn’t WHAT?! Then you are either really frugal, really jadedor you already know what watch I am talking about: the Obris Morgan Branco. If you frequent PMWF or WatchUseek, you might be familiar with this somewhat mysterious brand. Their name sounds European, their aesthetic is one part military, one part vintage and their prices are dirt-cheap. Well, in fact they are entirely Chinese owned, designed and manufactured, the name seemingly unrelated to anything, but they are dedicated to affordability while maintaining an interesting aesthetic. While their offerings to this point have certainly peaked our interest, not until the release of the Branco have we felt like we had to get out hands on one. The Branco is simply cool lookin
Should I or shouldn't I? Would love your input...
Just heard back from our local APSC that a grey panda dial is available out of AP Switzerland for my 39mm rosegold ROC at a reasonable price. I absolutely love the grey panda dial, especially now that AP has introduced the panda dial on the 41mm stainless steel and rosegold 41mm ROCs.Problem is my wife loves the white dial because it's a decent match to her rosegold Rolex. What do you think? Should I pull the trigger on the grey dial?
Fellas...fill me in - who makes top notch aftermarket straps?

Are AD's receiving these yet or does anyone know when they will be available? Any idea of the pricing on SS w/ black dial model?
Difference between the 5107 & 5127
For a long time having a classic Calatrava has always been part of my plan.Well maybe now is the time to fill that dream.I know some of the differences between the two, but I would like to hear from the experts. My two choices have always come down to between the 5107 & 5127, as I love the classic layout of the two watches, it has all that I require in a simple watch and it features those beautiful seamless shoulders to protect the crown. Can you please weigh in with your thoughts and photos.Outlining both the pros & cons of each watchI have just seen a black dial Platinum, reserved unfortunately, and that was stunning and again it would tick another of my boxes, having the diamond at 6 o'clock.I look forward to reading your replies and viewing your photos.Kind RegardsTony
