Rolex Now Offers 5-Year Warranty For All New Watches, Confirms 10-Year Service Intervals
Big news for those who have been considering the purchase of a new Rolex watch from an authorized retailer: Rolex has recently announced (and confirmed) that it will be offering a 5-year warranty to go with all watches sold, starting from July 1, 2015 from authorized dealers. If you have made a Rolex purchase sometime?during the last two years, i.e., between?July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2015, you are not missing out entirely on this highly noteworthy upgrade either: for watches sold during this period of time, Rolex provides 1 extra year of warranty free of charge, extending the original two?now to?a total of three years of the manufacturer's warranty. This is for all Oyster and Cellini family watches.Rolex?performed this upgrade in its peculiar "Rolex way," not making a big fuss about it C in fact, the announcement made it to retailers only,?and neither to the brand's marketing channels, nor directly to members of the press. And while we are waiting for?this information to be confirmed b
The Sinn U1000 Watch Has Risen From The Depths
Sinn's new EZM6 diving watch, the U1000 has finally arrived. The watch's specs have been circulating for a while, but not until now have pictures of the watch been available. The Sinn U1000 should hit retailers in March 2008, and Sinn is obviously going to make the U1000 the highlight of their display at Basel World this year. Sinn, based out of Frankfurt Germany just keeps on making lusted after timepieces.Last year, Sinn gave us the 757 and 757 UTC models which share a bit of the design theme of the U1000. The major difference being that one is a pilot's watch, while the other is a diving watch. The 757 series gave us a stunning design with remarkable functionality, but the U1000 really takes it to the next level. Starting with the movement, Sinn uses a chronograph movement based on the ETA Valjoux 7750, with some serious modifications. Most importantly is the ability of the movement to survive and remain accurate under extreme conditions, and the alteration of the minute counter win
5711 or 5712 at German ADs?
Hi all,I am planning a trip to Frankfurt, Germany in a couple of months and was wondering if there is a chance for me to purchase either a 5711 blue or 5712 in Germany if I start calling around different ADs now.I know that the 5711 is a difficult piece to source regardless of the location but was hoping that I would be lucky enough to purchase one during my visit! Even though the 5712 is a bit over my budget, if there's a better chance of sourcing a 5712 during my visit, I wouldn't mind spending a bit more as well. Thanks!
Rolex for the active individual?
Hi TRF, first post here! I֪ looking to pick up a new (to me) Rolex. I have a 6542 that my dad dad gifted to him when he graduated from the Air Force and I have an AP 15202. Both watches I feel are too fragile for what I want and neither do I wear all day every day. I purchased an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean back in 09 as my first, nice watch and Ie thrown everything at it: surfing, snowboarding, dirt bike rides, backpacking, etc. and the watch still looks great and keeps great time without a service. However, I֪ looking to upgrade the Omega to a Rolex.I֪ familiar with the tried and tested criteria Rolex watches go through, but I֪ curious when they started testing the watches beyond the limits the watches would ever see. Ie narrowed my choices down to a Submariner or a Sea Dweller (40mm). I֪ looking for this new watch go go everywhere with me to get knocked around and build its own character. How far back I should narrow my selection to, knowing the watch has gone through the gamut
