PO caseback
I am in the market for a PO and am just at the beginning of the learning curve, so please bare with me. Is Omega making the PO with both the sapphire caseback as well as the standard steel caseback? And while I'm at it, what is the approximate price point I will be looking at for a PO from an AD?Thank you for your help, Mark
IN NEED OF OPINIONS -- which is better, 5726A + BNIB 5167A or BNIB 5980/1A blue?
Doubts, doubts....but at least here I can find some good answers My collection started with three Nautiluses : 5711/1A blue, 5276A grey and 5980/1A blue. Due to my preference of sport watches, I thought it would be a natural start for PP brand. Then I added the 5070R, wanting some more dressy choices.Last year, I decided to trade the 5980/1A towards the 5960P . I thought that would be easier to get another 5980/1A later on.Given the 5960P is both Chrono and AC, since I bought it, many doubts have arisen about having 5980/1A and 5726A.But soon after, both 5980/1A and 5960P were discontinued by Patek. I have now ordered a BNIB 5167A, planned to arrive in few weeks, but just found an offer that is bugging me. It has been offered me a BNIB blue 5980/1A , and on a direct trade on my 5726A ( bought DEC2012) plus the 5167A equivalent proceedings. Now, my question for you, gentlemen, is : which would be your preference on this? Given my collection now, and the fact of discontinuation
Is Panerai fading into oblivion?
Is it just me or is there no love for Panerai anymore?I enjoy my 335 but it's getting less and less wrist time for some reason. I might be too much into AP but that piece used to excite me a lot! Now none of their watches temps me anymore. Is the brand getting old?
Alcohol or Rolex
I keep seeing thread after thread on the same topic and people seem a bit bitter lately. I am posting this just for fun to be a bit light hearted. I have no idea if the thread will be ignored or get a dozen replies. Here we go....If you were told you had two choices what would you pick between the following. You either have to give up Rolex watches for the rest of your life or alcohol. If you have so much as a sip of beer, you lose every Rolex watch you own and can never buy a new one. If you never drink again, Rolex will deliver one of every watch in its current catalogue and a one of every new model it has to you the day Basel World hits each year with the caveat you must keep the watches for yourself. So, would you pick your favorite alcohol of choice or Rolex for the rest of your days on Earth? I would pick the watches myself as I am not a big drinker.
