44FC to 44CE. Who has done it?
I'm thinking about trading my 44FC to an anthracite dial 44 Ceramic. I love the FC, but the anthracite dial and the beautiful finishing of the ceramic has me considering making a move. Has anyone made that switch and what are your thoughts. Any regrets?
Buyers in London, UK for preowned Omega watches
Hi all,Anyone in London know some good shops/watch buyers in London that buy pre-owned Omega watches?Have a 2003 Automatic Aqua Terra and the new 8500 caliber automatic Teck Grey dial 38 mmm Aqua Terra that is around 8 months old. Looking to sell them and looking for shops/dealers in London.
PROJECT: Seamaster Pro Band
This has got to be the toughest band I've ever done. it was my first time so the details are still a bit blurry for me. My suggestion is if you want to refinish this type of band, Take a leak before you start. The point for this post is to prove that these bands can be refinished by individuals who simply set themselves to do it. Once again, I dont tell much but the point is to show that persistence and experimentation can lead to success. This thing took me 2 whole hours and it shouldn't have taken that long. You simply have to commit, even I didn't know if I would succeed, but I commited to it, and I came out on top, not the consistent screw ups. Cheers! Not in bad condition at all, but I can improve it.Polish, polish , polish, but don't wear things down.Success! Phew!Cheers!
Patek Philippe authorized dealer visit
Greetings TRF,I just thought I would share with you my experience at the only Patek Philippe authorized dealer in the province of Quebec. I went there yesterday with my girlfriend, a hot and sunny day if I may describe it.Now before I get into details and start to show pictures, I would like to personally dedicate this thread to Dan (dddrees). Dan, you have been a wonderful asset to this section of TRF and I truly enjoy your helpful, funny and interesting threads! Please do take those mediocre pictures and this quick review as a gift for all the things you've done around here (without pushing it, of course, but I do think you are a great helper in this sub forum). Now let's start the review, shall we? We start our little visit by parking a few streets from the AD (parking is rarer than a Patek Tourbillon in Montreal...) and walking towards the place. As I said, it was a beautiful day and we did enjoy the weather. Are we there yet? D'oh! We arrived after a very long and painful walk (two
UV & Tritium
Hello all, this is my first post. Is it possible for a tritium dial not react to a UV light source? I found an N S/N Submariner with it's box and papers basiclly unused but the hands and indicies do not react to UV or any kind of light I have tried. Thoughts? comments?
