Help!! I'm in love with a quartz watch...
At any point in the last 5 or so years, I would have laughed if anyone said I'd be wearing a quartz watch. But yet, here I am with one on my wrist and I can't stop staring at it. I recently picked up this Aerospace Avantage and couldn't be happier. I read a lot about the super quartz movement and the thermal compensation technology used prior to buying. These are rated to run +/- 10 sec a year. Between the quartz movement and the all Ti case & bracelet, this is by far the lightest watch I've ever owned. I'm sure I'll end up going to bed with it on by mistake more than once.The features of the watch included a chronograph, countdown timer, 2nd time zone, day/date display, alarm, and a few others. My only coplaint is that it's a bit tedious to navigate all the menus using only the crown. I think having pushers like the B1 would make it more intuitive. Not a deal breaker for me since I'll be leaving it on the day/date display at least 90% of the time.Overall, this is an amazing timepi

Speedy Pro. Meteorite
I recently had the pleasure of handling an Omega LE Apollo/Soyuz Speedmaster Meteorite dial. From what I could see through the protective plastic on the dial, it looks AMAZING !The price was amazing too, $9350. Canadian, with no wiggle room, higher than I expected, twice as much as a basic MOTM. I did a search and found the information limited, no pun intended.I love this Speedy, my new grail perhaps, and am wondering what the thoughts are on this particular LE, my search results led me to believe that resale on the LE's left a lot to be desired. Well after many years of lusting after the 5970 I finally pulled the trigger a few days ago. I had been searching for the perfect example for years as some of you who know me know! I went back and forth between a P, R and even a J. I went back to reflect to 7 years ago when I first laid eyes on the R and the feeling I had. After much thought and research I went with my ultimate dream watch the 5970R. I was fortunate to find a true one owner watch, complete, mint and never polished. For me this is my very best ever and the ultimate watch. The silver dial is a true masterpiece by the master's themselves-- balanced and full with no empty space. The warmth of the perfectly proportioned RG case is second to none. The movement is absolutely amazing and one can stare at it for hours. All in all I rate this a perfect 10 and my absolute favorite watch of all time. Cheers all and HAGWE! image.jpg

NYC Midtown Walking Tour Help
Hi everyone, thanks for the suggestions ahead of time. I'm going to Manhattan around the holidays and wanted some suggestions on watch stores to visit in Midtown. Of course, I'll hit up some of my favorite brands' boutiques and Wempe, Cellini, maybe even Tourneau's locations for the selection. My question is any suggestions for places for preowned or otherwise perhaps along 47th street or other areas of Midtown I should go see. I'm by no means a vintage or preowned expert so to speak so probably just browsing for the sake of knowledge/seeing some watches in the flesh! Thanks much
