Introducing: The New Rolex Daytona, Now With Black Cerachrom Bezel
I can honestly say this is the watch everyone – though maybe no one more than me – has been waiting for since the 2013 50th anniversary of the Cosmograph Daytona. We now have a steel Daytona with black ceramic bezel! This watch closes the loop on the entire Daytona family, bringing back back the familiar look that we first saw in 1965 with the reference 6240 and ultimately the 6263. Let's get into it. 1 OF 3 The 2016 Cosmograph Daytona is very much the same watch as the 2015 Daytona – this is Rolex, after all – though in addition to the black Cerachrom bezel, the white-dial version now features black rings instead of silver above the sub registers. The watch remains 40 mm and still we have the absolutely superb caliber 4130.Did I mention it comes in black? 2 OF 3 Yes, the new Daytona comes with a black dial, too. ADVERTISEMENT Yeah, it does! Straps, alligator or crocodile ?
Does somebody has the answer , does patek use croc or alligator ?I'm pretty sure it won't be Cayman I believe there are a few different sorts of crocodile and only 1 alligator Some croc species are more expensive and better than alligator, others are a bit lessOnly thing I know for sure is that most don't know the difference, even if you want to buy an expensive wallet most salesperson or shop owners don't know the difference
Been a tough week for me....
Well a tough two weeks really. Saw a beautiful 1966 Rolex GMT gilt on a local auction site last week at a great price. My partner also saw value in it, so we bought it together as an investment. I also managed to sell my PAM190 and managed to fund a new GMT BLNR which I paid for two days ago. While at the AD, I asked about a 5167. They had just gotten it in. So fondled it a bit and realised I needed it. I have heard about Pateks speaking to people and can swear I heard it talk. It had been haunting me for the last two days and after a bit of forwards and backwards on the price, emailed them this morning to consider it sold. I'll go pay for it tomorrow. I am going to have to sell my Exp II and my SubC to help fund it, but that's what we do for Pateks I have learnt. Didn't set out to do this at all. But there you go.
