In-Depth: 9 Basic Things You Should Always Look At Before Buying A Vintage Rolex
Shopping for a vintage Rolex can be an intimidating task – frightening, even – given the number of fake and "Franken" watches lurking all around. We even showed you a bad one earlier this week. You've likely heard the advice “buy the seller” a million times before, and just as likely dismissed it. I wouldn't blame you, because in most cases a transaction doesn't scream shady business at first, leaving you to discover much later that your watch may not be as original as you were led to believe, hurting its collectibility, and thus its value. Therefore, this article aims to equip you with the key points that you should always check when hunting for your dream vintage Rolex. This checklist can’t claim to be comprehensive, as numerous books would not suffice to cover all the quirky features of the entire vintage production from Rolex. Hands-On: With The Meistersinger Circularis And New MSH01 Proprietary Movement
We introduced the Meistersinger Circularis last year, and were curious to see it in the metal since that release. The brand has been offering the single-hand concept for some time now, and while we're well-briefed on most of the lineup, it was the new MSH01 proprietary movement that caught our eye, naturally. 1 OF 8 The dial of the Circularis comes in three configurations – blue sunburst, silver sunburst, and ivory. The sunburst finish nicely accentuates the overall appearance of what is otherwise a very modest timekeeper. Why modest? Well, the Circularis has only one hand, and time can be accurately read only to five-minute increments. That's not a bad thing; it's both minimalist, assertive, and even kind of pragmatic. Meetings always start at such increments, and who needs that much resolution during languorous weeknights or weekends. Overall, legibility is just fine once you get used to the readout. 2 OF 8 The case of the Circularis me
Are there any RO with company insignia or heads of state models?
Is their any AP's that are aligned with any companies like Rolex did with Dominos, Comex, etc?Or any made for heads of state with royal crests?
Considering getting first AP (ROC) but wanted to ask some current owners...
Hi guys as stated I am really getting the itch for a 41mm ROC with white dial. I wanted to ask some current owners if it could be a daily wearer?I bought a 116610LV about 2 months ago and I really do love it however I am possibly starting a new job soon which is going to be suits 6 days a week. While I do agree the ceramic subs do go nicely with suits I think/hope the ROC will be absolutely perfect for my new job and also the weekend! My worry is picking up scratches a lot as my Rolex is incredibly robust etc My job will involve a lot of desk diving etc also do people swim/steam in them etc as when I am travelling leaving it in the gym bag is a big no no for me personally!I realise in an ideal world I would have both but I am 25 years old and would 100% have to flip the LV to get this and realistically it would be my daily wearer. I am a bit worried maybe I am jumping ahead of myself? Is the AP more of a watch to go with another that's lesser value? Any help would be hugely appreciated
