Seiko has been putting serious resources into the success of their Seiko Astron GPS Solar watch collection that they debuted about two years ago. We've been fans of the techie watch that instead of relying on radio signals from the few terrestrial atomic clocks, connects to signals from GPS satellites. Why? Anyone else find this piece incredible? I desperately want to add this to the collection but I will need some serious enabling to justify the rubber strap with the price tag it has. Am I being petty or do others feel the same? Would love to hear feedback from other Rolex enthusiasts.
