The New DEFAKTO Modular Eins and Akkord
It has been nearly a year since we last had ran an article on one of our favorite German brands, Defakto, and we're excited to be the first to show you their newest goods. The design-focused brand, known for their one-handed watches, have a bold, but spare aesthetic that at once speaks to the Bauhaus and military designs. Their newest release stays true to the core style of the brand, but adds a new level of interest. The Modular series, which consists of new variations on their Eins and Akkord models, take their existing designs and dresses them up with a clever combination of materials and finishes. There are two varieties, one with a steel central case and one with bronze, both featuring black PVD bezel and crowns, both measuring 42mm. Both also have a semi-coarse brushing, giving them a subtle texture. Though an almost obvious play on the existing models, the new Modular colorway creates watches with a unique ambiance and style. Introducing The Blancpain Villeret 8 Day With Grand Feu Enamel Dial
With SIHH behind us, the pre-Baselworld releases are starting to appear. The first release from Blancpain is an addition to the classic Villeret collection, the Villeret 8 Day with Grand Feu enamel dial. The styling is restrained and traditional like the rest of the Villeret collection and inside is an in-house Blancpain movement with a full eight days (192 hours) of power reserve. 2 OF 3 One of the highlights of the new Villeret 8 Day is the Grand Feu enamel dial. Grand Feu is a special type of enamel that involves layering pigments and firing repeatedly at extremely high temperatures. So instead of the numerals being painted onto the enamel, they are actually painting in enamel during the process. The result means that on the finished dial the numbers are set in the enamel and will not wear away with time. These are hand painted and feature little hollows that match the open hands. 3 OF 3 Turning the 42mm red gold case over you'll see the calibre 1335
Need Help in the Right Direction
I am looking to add to the collection. I have two Omegas, two Rolexes, and some miscellaneous junk. My Speedmaster Reduced is nice but doesn't cary the Horological significance of my DJ. A TT Aqua Terra Chronograph would be nice I think. The Classifieds section in this forum is nice but a bit sparse on Omegas. Where can I find a good forum/site that will have a nice grey market selection?
moonwatch with moonphase?

Finding the perfect travel companion... Incoming 5164A
I got bitten by the Patek bug just a little over 4 months ago and started off with a 5167. I was quite amazed with how well put together it was with its very sleek profile, stunning anthracite dial and supreme comfortness, dare I say one of the most comfortable watches that I have ever owned. I thought I would live forever in happiness with it, and could wait patiently for a 5712.Well that is, until the 5164 caught my eye. When I think Patek, I think complications, and they've done an amazing job of integrating a very practical complication, and somehow made the piece cleaner and more balanced. I've always loved the idea of having a dual time, and bought a BLNR for that purpose, but found the function not so practical to use with having to unscrew the crown and adjust the local time. So then my search began for one. One thing that I simply could not ignore was the huge price tag on the 5164 - it looked like it was going to be a pretty significant cash top-up from the 5167.
