New Magnum P.I. GMT
As discussed elsewhere in this forum (especially here), Thomas Magnum sported a 16750 matte dial for much of the series in the '80s.It was recently announced that the show is being rebooted and producer Peter Lenkov just posted on Instagram that the character will be wearing his personal Rolex GMT. Lenkov says he got it years ago because of the show. The new one has a coke bezel instead of a pepsi. Can anyone tell what reference is it from this image alone?

Hello Everyone,This is my first proper post on the forum, I've finally got around to joining up as I have some specific questions. Although I have been lurking for a while and already have a vintage DJ.I'm getting very tempted by a GMT, part of me would like a birth year 1675 but I also have to be realistic and I want a watch that I can still wear as a daily especially if I'm travelling. There are features of the 16710 that make it appealing to me such as the independent GMT hand, the sapphire crystal and the slightly more modern looking white gold edged markers.I'm in the process of weighing up the options of buying a good solid example of the spec I want versus buying a full set. Visit to Wempe (AD) in NYC....
I was in NYC today on 5th Ave and stopped in at the Wempe/Rolex AD. They carry other watch brands suck as Cartier, Patek, IWC, etc. A beautiful store, lots of sales help and a glass of champagne if you want it!They have a dedicated Rolex Boutique. I have never seen so many Rolex watches in a store. The only SS sport models were 1 Milguass (blue dial) and 1 AirKing, that was it in SS. In PM I remember a Yachmaster II, and perhaps one or two others, yes a 116710BLRO in the window. If you want a DJ, they have tons of womens and mens sizes. Many open spaces on the display for watches sold and not replenished. I did not ask about when they would get a replenishment because I did not want to hear the sales BS.I was able to pick up another copy of the Rolex Magazine, Issue 7.
