Ulysse Nardin CEO Rolf Schnyder Passes On
Ulysse Nardin has announced that its CEO, Rolf W. Schnyder, unexpectedly passed away on April 14 after a short illness. Because a succession plan was already in place, current members of management will continue to operate the company without interruption, continuing in the spirit of Rolf W. Schnyder's vision. With the passing of Rolf W. Schnyder, the watchmaking industry has lost one of its greatest visionaries, while Ulysse Nardin has lost an important source of innovation for the firm. We are profoundly moved and distraught at this sudden loss. Our full sympathies are with his wife and his three children, to whom we would like to express our sincere condolences, said Susanne Hurni, press officer and head of media relations at Ulysse Nardin.Rolf W. Schnyder had acquired the family firm Ulysse Nardin in 1983, and since that time held the role of president and CEO at the helm of the manufacturer with its wealth of tradition. HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 24
A good show about Jaeger-LeCoultre, Reactor, Bremont, and our upcoming trip to Vegas. Possibly some audio issues on my side. I can't explain that. When the big bucks come in, so will our updated engineering side of HourTime.Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 24 here.
44 - Love the clear case back
I find myself just staring at it. First watch with a clear caseback. I would love a Royal oak skeleton Iphone5s
New FC Diver Running Very Fast....
I'm so excited to finally be an AP owner. A lot of thought went into this big purchase which arrived a few days ago. When the ceramic Diver was introduced last month and talk began about phasing out the forged carbon, I knew I had to have the FC Diver. What a beauty! I am thrilled with every aspect of this watch except....it appears to be running +45 seconds per 24hrs when on the wrist, but only about +5 seconds when off the wrist. This is VERY disappointing from a brand new watch of this caliber and cost. I doubt a break-in period would improve such a drastic deviation and I sure hate to send in a brand new watch for the case to be opened for regulating. Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated. Here's a quick wrist shot...better photos to follow later.
Omega SM300 - Possible trade - Please help
Hello all, I would like to get your opinion on this Omega. I am curious if anything looks out of place, based on some searches I have done the numbers on the bezel seem incorrect. I have come across several different dials, but the dial seems to be correct although it does not say 'swiss' on it. I have searched on ebay to give me a price guideline, I found these are nearing 1,400usd and up, however that is for refinished watches and NOS, everything I found is in better condition than I believe this one to be. If at all possible, based solely on these pictures(assuming watch is in good working order), could you ballpark a figure for this?Any tips/advice are greatly appreciated, A big advanced thank you!OmSM300Date11711007.jpgOmSM300Date11711005.jpg
