Is This What Luxury Smartwatches Will Be Like? Pioneer Jorg Hysek Presents Designs, Interview
Jorg Hysek is one of my favorite watch designers. In addition to designing some really iconic watches over the last 30 years, Hysek is among the few designers today so strictly focused on the future while respecting those things that make the Swiss watch industry unique and traditional. Jorg Hysek even had his own "Hysek" brand, even though it was sold years ago and he is no longer associated with it. He then went on to start HD3 and later Slyde (hands-on review here) - an electronic luxury watch that was admittedly ahead of its time, which if begun today might have had a totally different trajectory. Jorg is now focused on the emerging world of smartwatches with the idea that real luxury smartwatches will not come from one source, but will be the accumulated efforts of multiple parties. is this really try of nautilaus owners?
Was looking at the entry level models of Patel and really don't believe owners get bored of such a beautiful watch. Let me know what you guys think.watchflipr/buyers-guide/b...teel-nautilus/
Which Patek would you buy if you win 100 million at the Lotto?
Imagine you are the lucky winner of 100 million$, which means that buying a 1 million dollar watch wouldn't leave you living in the street or eating rice and noodles the rest of your life, which one would you get?I would get the 5208p, would love to have a minute repeater, of course it has perpetual calendar, chrono (function I almost never used when I wore/wear a chrono), moon phase, love those things, basically of no use whatsoever, but very nice to look at, and a nice size of 42mm, even if my style makes me go more towards sporty models, must say if I had no limit money wise would definitely get one.But let's stay realistic, chances of winning 100M are not big, so I'm already very happy that I was able to afford a 5712, before I thought buying a watch for more than 15K was madness, as a result I have 7 watches from 7 to 14K, except for my Daytona 116515, that I never wear, so decided to sell all but 1, and buy a really great watch, the 5712, and maybe also a Royal Oak Jumbo, I hope

And giddy. It’s exquisite and my wife thinks I need my head examined because I already have a 16600 and that is not going anywhere.
