Durability of AP Carbon
Happy Tuesday! I've been contemplating future acquisitions and been wondering about the durability of the carbon cases and bezels on AP. Do they scratch? If so, do they shows the scratches easily? What about nicks and dents? How does carbon compare to the SS or Gold that AP uses? How about carbon compared to ceramic? Can anyone post a picture of a well worn full carbon AP?David
Thoughts on next generation Liquidmetal possibilities?
I really like everything about the current Liquidmetal offering except the size and color ;) I am really hoping they 1) offer it in black next year and 2) offer it in 42mm.I know that sounds a lot like the LM LE and it is but I really want Titanium. I'd probably just buy an LM LE if I could find one but I'd be just has happy with a Titanium LM in Black and I be really happy if it came in 42mm.Thoughts?
World Time - Limited Edition City Change on Dial from HK to SH

Only available in Beijing or *surprise* Shanghai.blogs.wsj/scene/2013/03/1...h-worth-72000/I am pretty sure the question is-this-watch-worth-72000? is useless in this forum... my take: good investment and beautiful watch
GMT caseback on a Submariner?
I know this is blasphemy and the lynch mob will put me on their hit list, but....Has anyone tried a GMT caseback on a Submariner?I love the slimness of my 14060M and played with the idea of making it even slimmer by swapping on the thinner caseback from a GMT Master or Explorer II.It's a very reversible mod and I don't plan on SCUBA diving with it, or worse....having Rolex Authorized service handle the watch and was just curious if I'm the first one with this crazy idea....?
Which Rolex to add???
My humble collection is need of a Rolex so I'm asking all you fine folks to help me decide on which model to add to this trio. I've owned several Rolex refs in the past....116610LN, 114060, 116710LN, 116710BLNR (twice!), and the Daytona (black dial). But just none ever stuck for various reasons (didn't work with the current collection, got bored, didn't work as a one watch collection, etc). I've even considered adding a ref that I've owned before as maybe it would work within the current SOTC. But if I were to add a ref I've never owned before, a TT sub is high on my list as well as the 116610LV. Possibly even the new Explorer I? Thoughts, suggestions, recommendations, comments all welcomed! Thanks in advance.
