With an impressive level of symmetry, the dial displays the time, retrograde date, the retrograde day of the week, months, the indicator of reserve power for the movement, time with the subsidiaries seconds, second time zone, leap year indicator and a clever moon phase indicator. On the dial that is, it is a few shades of black, while and rose gold. The 45 mm wide case is titanium with 18 k accents or roses. Over 18 k pink gold is used on the dial for the hands and some rings deal. At first glance, the watch looks a little like a complex chronograph but made an impressive level of functionality in it. A very utilitarian key that I appreciate is labelled pushers medallion on the side of the case. Calendar perpetual watches were often pin on the case of pushers to adjust the calendar functions. New Things at Steinhart and Archimede
In the last couple of months two of our favorite affordable German brands, Steinhart and Archimede, have both announced some new and exciting things that are very worth taking note of. Steinhart has made headway in the development of their self-labeled calibers, with the introduction of the ST. 5 automatic movement. UPDATE: Steinhart has also announced the Ocean Vintage One, which is the first watch to use the new caliber. Archimede has introduced a new dial and finish to their Outdoor's line as well as a handful of additions to their very popular bronze pilot selection.Steinhart ST. 5Several months ago Steinhart took a big step forward with the introduction of their ST. 1 caliber. Not to be confused with a manufacture movement, the ST. 1 is a heavily customized ETA Unitas 6497-1. The gorgeous and intense finishing added tons of unique character to this staple movement, and gave Steinhart some bragging rights as they began fabricating movement parts. Just a general question, in your opinions which age group is better meant for RG watches??

Posting Pictures Please Read.
All Mods were discussing how many new members we've been getting and he suggested that we might just have to cover the issue of posting up pictures of a sensitive nature, for the benefit of our new members.Given the diversity of our motley crew here, the mods agreed a while back that pictures corresponding roughly to M(18) ratings or above can be posted, but the posting should be done in a manner respectful of everyone's sensibilities.The solution we came up with was that these pictures should be posted as links instead of images, so that they would not show up when the page was opened, but anybody could click the link and view them if they so wished. Also, these pictures should be posted with some notification of their nature (e.g. adult pic or cleavage pic ).No controversial images which may cause offense to the membership including any images which could be construed as racist, sexist, violent or pornographic. No gun, knife or miscellaneous weaponry images since we are a worldwide

What happened this year? Some observations from a onlooker from the sidelines....
I'm not purchasing any new watches this year just watching from the sideslines but......1. I seems like everyone hoped for a SS Coke but you got the SS Pepsi on jubilee.... beautiful watch that many have been searching for a super jubilee to mod for themselves.2. A lot of ppl wanted the Rootbeer brought back.... but dang, not in PM I guess. Or TT but they are nice too.3. Someone must be throwing up in their mouth a little with the jewels on the Daytona, the sacred Daytona, bedazzled. 4. 36mm must still be a mans size watch b/c Rolex keeps making them (w diamonds.... more vomit expected)5. The Deep Sea, a bracelet upgrade. Sounds fair, it probably needed it.Anyone else have any opinions?
