Panerai 8-Day Power Reserve Caliber P.5000 Debuts in New Luminor Watches
Officine Panerai’s rapid rise to manufacture status continues with its release of yet another in-house movement, Calibre P.5000, a manual-wound movement with an eight-day power reserve. The new caliber makes its debut in a pair of new watches, the Luminor Marina 8 Days and Luminor Marina 8 Days Oro Rosso. While an eight-day power reserve is rare in wristwatches these days, it has been a part of Panerai’s history: the first watches that the brand created for Italian naval commandos had an eight-day power reserve, a requirement at the time for a unit that needed its timepieces to run reliably for long military operations. And by freeing up some funds, maybe the new Mclaren p14 or a Ferrari f12 can be added to the collection.Hard to keep multiple expensive hobbies so I'm considering selling my Patek's to fund the car passion! Can I afford to do both. Well yeah. But just seems frivolous. How many of you have gotten in and out of the hobby? I figure delve in some high end cars for a bit and when I get sick of that, come back to watches. Not saying by any means I'm done with watches- just feel like taking a break. I guess the bigger question is how do you stop the urge to just live a normalExistence and not keep wasting errrr i mean investing money in these expensive hobbies. I just get bored so damn quick tha
