Astronaut Chris Hadfield In Love With Space And His Omega X-33 Watch
He loves his Omega watch as much as he loves space! A few days ago Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield returned to earth after what seemed like an extremely long stay aboard the International Space Station (ISS). He was up there for six months! When we?interviewed American astronaut Mark Kelly, he told us that despite exercise attempts in space, it takes the same amount of time to recover on Earth as the time you spent up in space. Meaning that Hadfield now faces a six month recovery time. Sadly, there isn't a function for timing that on his beloved Omega X-33.The Omega X-33 is a now discontinued professional aviation watch that contained a high-end multi-function ana-digi quartz movement in an all-titanium case. It became quite the cult watch and many lamented the fact that Omega ceased to produce it. Omega did however release the follow-up Z-33 aviation watch last year (debuted here), though the older Omega X-33 and newer Omega Z-33 models look very different. Though we like them both
How variable are Jumbo dials?
I've been seriously considering a 15202ST Jumbo lately and popped into the Beverly Hills Boutique yesterday to try on the rose gold version since the steel is never in stock. This is the second Jumbo I've tried on and although it's stunning overall, neither one has had the deep blue color I've seen in some of the photos of the Jumbo on this and other sites. It comes off more muted and gray/blue in most angles I could see in real life. Is this just the way it is or are there Jumbos out there that have dials that look like this (see below) in the metal?
RG Twins....
With the recent acquisition of AK797's lovely 26320OR, I thought I would share my love and it's sexy twin brother.Mine of course is the one without stickers, I ripped those things off so quick, LOL!
Help Please. I was missold 31mm DJ
I really hope you can help me. I purchased my very first Rolex yesterday and was over the moon, as you can imagine, until I realised that the salesperson had sold me the wrong watch. Basically I went into Fraser Hart yesterday and asked if they had the new 28 Datejust in SS with Oyster bracelet and pink dial. I knew this was a difficult watch to get so was very surprised and elated that the salesperson brought one out from the safe. I was in the shop for over an hour talking to this salesperson about the watch, discussing how it was the newest size and that it was being heavily featured and advertised by Rolex. In the end, I purchased it and walked out of the shop with it on my wrist. As you all know, once the links have been removed and everything signed, I cannot return the watch. What can I do? I am devastated that this isn't the watch I wanted. I am not an expert on watches so how was I supposed to know by sight that the watch I was trying on was a 31 and not a 28? Everything about
116655 YM RG possible product lifespan
Hey all-I'm looking at getting my first PM piece with the 116655. It will be a little bit of awhile for me as I just picked up my Daytona-C and I will need at least a year to replenish the old watch budget and I want to buy new from an AD. I see that the WG Pepsi may be discontinued this year after being released in 2014. The RG YM 116655 was released in 2015. Any guesses how long Rolex will keep the 116655 around? Thanks!
